🚀 Exciting times ahead in the SAP industry! 🚀 SAP market trends and strategies are always a topical point of discussion. Whether you are in a teams call, client meeting or simply scrolling through LinkedIn. As someone who many years ago was initially a little "sceptical" of its importance has - without realising, now found themselves deeply invested in this ever-evolving field. I find it incredible looking back to see how rapidly things have evolved over the last 10 years or so whilst doing my job. With even my place in the SAP market it is clear how much potential there is for further growth and innovation. For me - one trend that stands out is the increasing shift towards cloud-based solutions. Companies are realizing the immense benefits of flexibility, scalability, and cost-efficiency that cloud platforms offer. This transition is not just a trend; it's becoming a necessity for staying competitive in today's market. Another intriguing development is the rise of AI and machine learning within SAP solutions. These technologies are transforming how businesses operate, providing deeper insights and automating complex processes. It's incredible to see how AI can enhance decision-making and drive efficiency. Moreover, the focus on sustainability and green IT is gaining momentum. Organizations are now more conscious of their environmental impact and are leveraging SAP solutions to optimize resource use and reduce their carbon footprint. This is not only good for the planet but also for business reputation and compliance. Lastly, from personal experience the importance of continuous learning and adaptation cannot be overstated. It might seem like gloom and doom out there in the market and there's no avoiding - it has been a tough 12-18 months in the #SAP space. But we're starting to see some fruits of labour sprouting 🍈 All that planning, all that preparation, it is finally paying off. Skillsets in demand 📈 Last quarter did pick up from the end of 2023, maybe not quite as dramatically as we expected (and hoped), but there were some areas that we noticed an increase in demand. One of these was S/4 HANA Public Cloud Public Cloud is an area that is on the increase, and there are not many clients in ANZ that have implemented it. Therefore, finding candidates with implementation experience has proven difficult. My recommendation for consultants on the market would be to skill up and gain certification in Public Cloud, as we are expecting the demand in this area to continue this year.
