I've spoken with clients recently that have struggled to secure talent for their SDR teams. Unnecessarily lengthy interview processes, amongst general market conditions seems to be the main culprit for this. With attrition rates as high as they are, striking the right balance of thoroughly evaluating suitability and maintaining momentum in the process can be a tough one. Here's how I would structure a succinct 3 stage interview process that should cover off both: Stage 1 - Behavioral Interview with Talent Team/Hiring Manager via teams - Assessing Cultural Alignment/Understanding of the company - Opportunity to get to know the candidate Stage 2 - In person Sales Focused Interview with 2 x roleplays - Sales related questions to assess general understanding/competency - Roleplay #1 to assess ability to think under pressure, rejection handling etc - Roleplay #2 to assess coachability and willingness to take on feedback Stage 3 - Meet The Team / Informal Offer Realistically these 3 stages could be completed in 10-14 days tops, but does require a commitment from all parties to keep things moving. To all Vincere users, have any of you been experiencing issues with the "add or update" velocity plug in tab on the candidates profiles not showing? Mines not showing at all but can see the tab when i look at the search list. if so, any suggestions on how to resolve this problem? how do you get in touch with vincere support???......absolute nightmare. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

There's encouraging signs for tech sellers in the UK job market 😎 These 3 things happen regularly in a boom market But haven't really happened at all in 2024 Until this week! 🙌 Returning ESP customer unfreezing headcount, looking to hire multiple roles 🙌 Internal referral within a hiring company "I'm hiring and so are my 2 colleagues..." 🙌"We've just done our 2025 plan and need 7 new sales people by Q1" Small steps but here's hoping positive things to come! #salescareers #saas #recruitment

I had a cracking discussion with Andrew Gawn, as we explore the future of TA through a product development lens. We covered loads in our discussion, from recruiter enablement, tech stack optimisation, supplier relationships and curse of the new ‘shiny thing’ during the .AI revolution. There was also an interesting twist. Why do we usually turn to a tech solution when problems can be solved by leaning on the ingenuity and critical thinking ability of our own internal TA teams? After a few tougher months the architecture market seems to be back to being more candidate than client led – Great news! 🎉 Technicians and Technologists in particular are massively in demand right now and I have 8 practices currently looking for people to join them who have that specific skill set. However, with this turn in the market comes new challenges – everyone is looking for the same people and the fact is technologists just now have multiple options and practices who would love to have them join! So what are you doing to stand out as the option they should pick?? 🤔 Here's the five things I’d recommend focusing on if I were hiring for Technologists just now... ⭐ Identify the profile of person you want to hire and build a package of benefits that will excite THAT profile and not the mass market. Looking for someone to work on Passivhaus projects? Think about what sustainability focused benefits they would want. If you’re working on listed buildings what about considering incentives to work towards conservation accreditation? Make the benefits fit the person you want! ⭐ Have a Flexible, Transparent and Impactful unique selling point – what makes you different to your competitor who is also interviewing the same person? ⭐ Implement high impact, low cost benefits. Everyone offers great projects, hybrid etc. What can you offer that will be really impactful? ⭐ Act quickly! I can’t stress how important this is just now. If you don’t interview and offer quickly the candidate will be gone. ⭐ Be agile at interview. Time, locations, process. Achieve what you want to achieve but don't create barriers to getting a result. What other things would you add which are important to consider when hiring for people with a unique and in demand skill set?

What a great day at Bullhorn's Automation workshop in London yesterday! In addition to sharing our strategies on getting your data ready for AI, one of the highlights for us was James Osbourne's question about the impact of automation and AI on culture at recruitment companies. Kyloe founder Raymond Pennie's view is that we are in the most transformational time he's ever experienced. We love the take from one of our long-time customers and industry experts, where AI will play 3 roles, tripling productivity: An intern/recruitment assistant to draft emails and adverts for you A researcher to find important facts for you to prep clients and candidates An experienced recruiter to give you pointers on which candidate fits which hiring manager We have a chance to create a culture where everyone can get more from less.
