🚨 UPDATE TO ONGOING CROWDSTRIKE ISUUE 🚨 CrowdStrike CEO, George Kurtz, has stated that "The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed.". Despite this, between 80%-90% of flights at major UK Airports have been either delayed or cancelled, 14 rail operators affected, and many users have been left without details of how this fix could be deployed to resolve their ongoing issues. Chris Dimitriadis, Chief Global Strategy Officer at ISACA (International Professional Association focused on IT governance) has said; "This incident is a clear example of what could be termed a digital pandemic - a single point of failure impacting millions of lives globally." As a result, "doctors can't see their patients, media outlets can't broadcast news, and travellers are stranded at airports,". Many professionals around the world are questioning how what is thought to have been a Software Update by CrowdStrike could have caused such a large scale issue. Questioning if CrowdStrike have comprehensive QA and Testing Management processes in place for updates before they are deployed.
