🛠️ Ways to ensure your business doesn't fail 🛠️ TIP #5 Don’t be tempted to scale too quickly. There’s a lot of bad advice out there, but scaling isn't for everyone. There’s nothing wrong with sustainable growth. Manage your expenses by keeping overheads low while you’re perfecting your offer, strategy and systems. Don’t bloat your books with too many employees too early. And anyway, it depends how you define 'scale'. Is it your organisation size you want to scale? If so, why? Or is it actually your organisation's impact / achievement of purpose you want to scale? If so, why? Because if we can't continue to "scale", "10X", "grow" at "exponential" rates (which we can't - our planetary resources are already maxed out - that's just science), then how might we rethink what it means to scale? I look forward to a near future where an organisation's success is not measured by the number of offices / staff / dollar figures it brings in, but instead, by the positive impact it makes on communities, people and/or environments. Hotness has a shelf life! 😘 SaaS Account Managers - don't wait to follow up after Accountex. It's easy to sit back and think "they'll have loads of people contacting them - I'll give them a few days" Yes. Yes they will. BUT if you've had a genuine conversation (and you've qualified them properly) - those hot leads should be looking forward to hearing from you. It's like the sales equivalent of a Fast Track, Queue-Jumping pass at a theme park. Other Vendors -> 🚶‍➡️🚶‍➡️🚶‍➡️🚶‍➡️🚶‍➡️🚶‍➡️🚶‍➡️🚶‍➡️🚶‍➡️🚶‍➡️🚶‍➡️🚶‍➡️ You -> ___________________________ 🏃‍♂️‍➡️ Wait too long, though... interest will wane, the lead will cool, your pass will expire... sending you to the back of the regular queue. With the screaming kids. Yes - be empathetic to their workloads Yes - follow up with something relevant, valuable and tailored Yes - accept that it might take a week or two to get something into the diary But don't let the others steal your lunch money AND deprive the partner of something they're interested in at the same time. Can't get them on the phone? Record a personalised Loom video to help you stand out from all the other "Hey, tried to reach you. Pls call me back kthanksbye" emails. For the lukewarm & cold leads - video assets are a great solution to start the process of warming them up while also freeing you up for your key potential customers and partners. Of the companies that promote their numbers, the average booked meeting rate is: 0.7 per day With an attendance of: 60% At We Have a Meeting we're obsessed with quality, our commission is paid on meetings that sit and convert and clients that renew rather than the volume of meetings booked. That being said, year to date for WHAM: 1 per day, per client is the average booked. 70.2% - 82.8% average sit rate.
