My problem with quick wins is that many people prioritise multiple quick wins, which cumulatively give lesser value compared to a single big win, which adds much more value. What managers and data leaders need to do is ensure they clearly define the quick wins from the outset and not just keep picking up one after another to show the leadership that there is value or that the needle is moving. This is why a lot of products fail and investments stop because the leadership doesn’t see ENOUGH value over time. To address this issue, leaders should adopt: - A strategic approach that balances quick wins with long-term goals. - Setting clear, measurable objectives for both quick wins and larger projects - Ensuring that each quick win contributes to the broader strategic vision By doing so, we can maintain momentum and motivation while building towards more significant achievements that deliver sustained value. #data #leadership #strategy

Really excited to share that I'll be taking on the mantle of #dataviz trainer for GovPD from this autumn! The course will be tool-agnostic, with a focus on principles and plenty of signposting towards resources to explore how to get more out of the tools you're currently using. Over the course of the years, as a Creative Technologist I have generated a lot of ideas for pitches and thought I would share some of them on LinkedIn. Ford Pro provides a software solution to help the smooth running of a fleet of vans through their cloud-based platform, however it doesn't provide any software for a fleet's most valuable asset, it's drivers and their day-to-day routines.
