We are back, IBM and IAPP have a long history. I'm a smidge cooler, hence the big jacket, however the conference is warm and inviting. The IAPP Data Protection Congress '24 is a huge event tackling serious issues around data, sovereignty, considerations around AI governance to name but a few focus areas. AWS Quantum Embark sounds like a useful stepwise approach. I am still not clear how the expectations of participants are managed regarding practical applicability due to still limited technology. Such compartmentalization can hinder collaboration, which is crucial for successful software development and deployment. Adopting an Internal Development Platform (IDP) is an effective strategy to mitigate these issues. IDPs bridge the gap between various roles, such as DevOps and platform engineers, by creating a unified environment that integrates tools, configurations, automation, and security measures, facilitating efficient collaboration and innovation.
