NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) has completed its procurement for AMP8 with the appointment of 33 partners to deliver a £3.bn AMP8 capital investment programme. #AMP8 will see aim to meet #netzero by 2030, decrease sewage overflows and minimise the effect of climate change. NWG are pledging to spend 60p in the pound with regional suppliers, including with new entrants to the water sector with a view to increasing capacity to the industry. Great news for the engineering and construction sector in the North East. From a recruitment perspective, we are seeing significant demand in several key areas: 🔌 Grid Connection: Engineers, Managers and those experienced in Grid applications. ✅ Commissioning: Via Project Management or a Consultancy, experience with HV substations and commissioning. 📈 Whole Lifecycle Project Management: Project Managers, Contract Managers & Consultants. ⚡ Electrical Engineers: Electricians, Site Managers and HV Engineers. These roles are critical in driving forward our onshore and offshore projects, however we've found that many companies struggle to find qualified and experienced people as highlighted in the report.
