🚀 State of cloud: Key insights & strategies for success 🌩️ A recent report by Pluralsight dives into the world of cloud computing, looking at how businesses in the UK and around the world are using it. Here's the gist: 🔹 Widespread adoption: Almost all businesses (94%) use cloud services, and many (70%) have a good chunk of their tech infrastructure stored in the cloud (think online storage and programmes). But only a quarter (27%) of leaders think their cloud is actually making a big difference for their customers. 🔹 Strategic challenges: A staggering 69% of leaders don't have a clear plan for using the cloud - leading to ad hoc tactical plans and missed opportunities for transformation. 🔹 Cloud maturity: Most businesses are somewhere in the middle of their cloud journey. They're figuring out things like what strategy to use, how much to spend, how to get things set up securely, and how to keep it all safe. 🔹 Skill development: There just aren't enough people with the right skills to manage cloud tech effectively. Cloudcat Recruitment's series on common mistakes made by SDRs continues. Every mistake listed is one to keep in mind, as they have been suggest by highly successful SDRs and Sales Leaders who I have spoken to over the last few years. Using AI is great, and mastering its usage makes you extremely efficient. The majority of my network is involved in selling or utilising artificial intelligence! But using it blindly is akin to trying to sell to a prospect in a monotonous, under-researched and dry tone. According to the latest ONS data, 20% of businesses reported worker shortages in September. Demand is reflected in the Firefish Software recruitment agency data in Q3, showing the strongest quarter of 2024 despite a challenging August. Positive stories across the board📈.
