Approved Trauma Informed School.... But what about the staff inside? Trauma-Informed Communication Training is essential for creating a supportive and healthy school environment. It equips staff with the skills of understanding the impact of trauma, to communicate empathetically and effectively, whilst, above all, keeping themselves and their students safe. This training helps foster stronger connections, reduces stress, and supports healing through thoughtful, compassionate interactions. It helps to keep staff an students safe and also reduces staff turnaround - staff feel better equipped to cope. My past life in equestrian; people would often comment on how well my horses looked, noticing their bright eyes and glossy coats. They assumed I spent hours grooming them. The truth is, the shine came from the horses' health on the inside. Without that internal health, they wouldn't have looked that way on the outside. The same principle applies to schools. A school may have the best systems, leadership, and programs in place, but if the communication within the school isn't trauma-informed, the positive effects will be limited. Health, trust, and success in a school come from the inside out, and trauma-informed communication is the key to unlocking that potential. #traumainformedcommunication #pastlife #horses #traumainformedschool

NOMINEE TRAINING FOR AN OFSTED INSPECTION This webinar is for training providers, employer providers and local authorities delivering apprenticeships, skills bootcamps and any ASF-funded provision that is in scope for an Ofsted inspection. Ideal for new providers yet to be inspected for the first time by Ofsted and also any established providers who have not been inspected in the current round of Ofsted inspections or who 'require improvement' and are waiting on another inspection soon. Tuesday 12 November 2024, 10.00am to 11.30am Being an effective nominee for an Ofsted inspection involves a lot of common sense things such as knowing your provision well and having good people skills. However, there are some aspects of the role that are not so obvious and providers are often less familiar with what will happen before an inspection team lands in their premises and what they, and in particular, the nominee will have to do and make sure they have in place. This short webinar, which you can join from the comfort of your home or workplace office (and receive the slides and a copy of the recording afterwards to share with your teams) will walk you through some key reminders about the role of the nominee, who is best placed to be the nominee and what they need to do both before, during, and after receiving 'the call' from Ofsted for an inspection of your provision.
