Yesterday I shared a post with a snapshot overview of the SAP market in Q4 Apr-Jun24. This demonstrated that we are in a busier market than pre-COVID so why does it feel different? 👉 Expectations have changed. When we was in a 'busy market' employees could dictate what they wanted like renumeration, flexibility, role title and WFH for example. We are now back to an employers market 👉 A lot of people moved out the cities as being on a client site was redundant. There is a big pull from employers to change this dynamic once again 👉 When there is less demand employers have more of a pick of resources and head count hires. The only exception to this is niche skillsets and junior talent are still hard to find Based on these stats the message would be - Continually adapt to market conditions #SAP #SAPmarket #ANZ #newrole #SAPsnapshot

Great news for SAP users in the UK. SAP and Microsoft are planning to deploy SAP Business Technology Platform in the Azure UK region by the end of 2025. This move will allow users to host native or RISE with SAP workloads alongside deployed BTP services. 🚀 #sapbtp #azure #risewithsap

If you didnt get to see the SAP Teched 24 openning address its well worth watching I have to say I was most impressed with Michael Ameling, absolutely loved the way he described the full SAP portfolio something folk need to start doing more of as far to many SIs have S/4 clean core tunnel vision. This is by far the slickest teched I can remember, and I think its time for it to be face to face again. At SAP Sapphire 24 a lot of focus upon the use of 🤖 AI to help migrate and implement SAP S/4HANA With the advent of SAP Joule Consultant we will see a shift in the delivery dynamic, the much heralded resource armagedon may be avoided by the use of Joule, this may reduce the more junior functional and technical roles but there will still be a need for senior consultants that can lead and contextulise the outcomes to be delivered. In the SAP delivery space we will see an autonomous delivery model centred around SAP Signavio, SAP LeanIX and SAP Activate all linked by SAP Joule, so as the team becomes smaller and more specialist the need for delivery discipline and command and control will become even more important.
