Collaborating with London-based creative agency Designwerk, the League embarked on a comprehensive brand refresh to infuse its identity with vibrancy and relevance. The strategy was to create a brand that not only reflected the League's ambition but also captured the essence of British basketball culture. The concept of "UNBEATABLE" emerged as the focal point, embodying the determination, passion, and resilience inherent in the sport and its community.
The rebrand took on a holistic…Collaborating with London-based creative agency Designwerk, the League embarked on a comprehensive brand refresh to infuse its identity with vibrancy and relevance. The strategy was to create a brand that not only reflected the League's ambition but also captured the essence of British basketball culture. The concept of "UNBEATABLE" emerged as the focal point, embodying the determination, passion, and resilience inherent in the sport and its community.
The rebrand took on a holistic approach, including the development of a new visual identity, broadcast graphics, and a specially composed anthem titled "UNBEATABLE." Leveraging the talents of Manchester artists OMO9K and Lady Ice on this track, the League aimed to heighten the entertainment aspect of basketball both in arenas and at home, deepening fan engagement.
Central to our brand strategy was the identification of key personality traits that capture the DNA of the British Basketball League: playful, unconventional, friendly, and innovative. These traits serve as the foundation for our communications strategy, setting the tone for how we engage with our audience and differentiate ourselves in the sporting landscape.
Guided by our brand manifesto, we articulated a bold and vibrant vision for the League, one that celebrates our unapologetic confidence and determination to make an impact. Our manifesto resonates with the spirit of our audience, inspiring them to embrace the unconventional, challenge the status quo, and join us in our mission to shake things up. -

The debut event of the SLT Arena Games was held in Rotterdam in August 2020 and blended in real life and virtual racing to deliver a new level of immersive viewing experience.
