Projects

  • MediPM

    - Present

The aim of MediPM was to develop a Patient Management System which was facilitated with the use of Near Field Communication (NFC) to further digitise healthcare facilities. I took this beyond university and went to market to raise money to build this further in both Ireland & Canada, however this sadly did not come to fruition at the time due to market dynamics.

This project was awarded the Bank of Ireland sponsored award for Most Innovative Project in October 2013.

MediPM allows for patient data to be updated quickly and removes the paper chart element, replacing it with a digital method in a medical environment. This ultimately reduces the paper trail within the operations of a care provider while also speeding up the entire process, thus increasing efficiency. The system tracks patient details and makes them readily available on an NFC enabled smart device. The system allows Doctors, Nurses and other relevant staff to access accurate patient data from a secured online database.
