Addiction / Mental Health / Recovery Morning all hope you are well , not feeling it today but the show must go on . Todays reading ( symptoms of a spritual awakening ) I have recently posted my spritual awakening but when we see it begin in others it does touch my heart . The smile , there appearance , there structure, we begin to see a change and better still they will feel a change . It’s heart warming to see that it is working , there working and doing the suggested . There is a saying sometimes slowly sometimes quickly it will work for us as it’s worked for others . This is where patience kicks in . It took some of us many years to understand that there is a force more powerfull that ourselves that can help us . If connection with a higher power helps me live and accept life of life’s terms why would I want to stop . May 22 Symptoms of a spiritual awakening The steps lead to an awakening of a spiritual nature. This awakening is evidenced by changes in our lives. Basic Text, p. 49 = We know how to recognize the disease of addiction. Its symptoms are indisputable. Besides an uncontrollable appetite for drugs, those suffering exhibit self-centered, self-seeking behavior. When our addiction was at its peak of activity, we were obviously in a great deal of pain. We relentlessly judged ourselves and others, and spent most of our time worrying or trying to control outcomes. Just as the disease of addiction is evidenced by definite symptoms, so is a spiritual awakening made manifest by certain obvious signs in a recovering addict. We may observe a tendency to think and act spontaneously, a loss of interest in judging or interpreting the actions of anyone else, an unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment, and frequent attacks of smiling. If we see someone exhibiting symptoms of a spiritual awakening, we should be aware that such awakenings are contagious. Our best course of action is to get close to these people. As we begin having frequent, overwhelming episodes of gratitude, an increased receptiveness to the love extended by our fellow members, and an uncontrollable urge to return this love, well realize that we, too, have had a spiritual awakening. = Just for today: My strongest desire is to have a spiritual awakening. I will watch for its symptoms and rejoice when I discover them. 🙏💪❤️Jay

Let's talk about... Bullying and bent contractors. I've come in this morning to yet another complaint from air tightness testers that they have been removed from site and replaced with a tester that offers 'guaranteed passes', with a side note on one of them that, should they not be able to gaurantee a pass in the future, they will lose contracts worth thousands. We've also had an email passed on from a nationwide Approved Inspector suggesting a tester conducts air tightness testing with the windows open, because "the building is too airtight". A third highlights a test that was done immediately after a different, unregistered tester with a result substantially leakier than the first. There is no protection or comeback as air tightness testers are not required to be registered and the SAP & EPC can just fly through by the same person doing the test. LABC - Local Authority Building Control, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and Elmhurst Energy, Stroma Certification we need to eradicate this attitude towards testing in construction and either educate or expose these people making a mockery of hard working testers. #airtightness #constructiontesting
