I did something *super* cheeky 😲 (But I reckon I’ll get away with it 🤫) I switched the hero copy of Workable and Greenhouse Software. (2 popular hiring platforms) But there’s so little difference between them – I doubt anyone would notice! 🤷 Same product category. 🤷 Same core capabilities. 🤷 Same do-it-all-with-our-platform messaging (Even if Greenhouse tries hard to almost-but-not-really avoid the dreaded words “all in one”) But no differentiation in sight. Um, so why should I choose either one?? It’s not clear. At all. *This* is the ultimate litmus test of your messaging: 💡 If you can replace your logo or brand name with your competitors’ without noticing the difference – you have a problem. Team LinkedIn! New month, new TV related question! Doing a bit of audience research today…(aka can we talk about something other than politics for just a sec). Ok. So my brother (a producer) and I were talking recently about where people go to experience fairly fresh tv/film/music etc. I gave my answer. Then I wondered (because I’m n̶o̶s̶e̶y̶ curious like that) what answer others might give. 🤔 So, here’s my question: “It’s the weekend. You want to watch a series/film that feels creatively fresh or innovative*. Which streamer/platform would you expect to find such show/titles.” If you want, give an example too (ie these shows are why I think X streamer feels different/innovative)?” What should we do for choices? How about the top seven^: 1. Amazon Prime 2. Apple 3. BBC (or your fav local broadcaster) 4 Disney 5. HBO Max 6. Netflix 7. Paramount+ *”But Kenny, how are you defining ‘fresh/innovative’?” I mean, could be the writing, casting, the themes dealt with, VFX or sense in which the title (incl. documentaries) pushes boundaries/conventions. I've FAILED my whole life, but here's how it shaped me 👇 I'm 29 now, an age that once seemed so much older to my younger self. As time goes by, you naturally start reflecting on your experiences, wondering what made you who you are today. Here’s what I’ve unpacked… Since childhood, I was often labeled a failure. Parents' evenings were a grilling session with teachers about the same issue: “He's not trying hard enough.” But here’s the thing, I have a strain of ADHD and staying engaged in things that don’t spark my passion has always been a struggle. Yet, when I am passionate, there’s no stopping me. Fast forward a decade, and I’ve tested 5 businesses, exited one profitably, multiplied my knowledge and network, and created the freedom to live life on my own terms. (This is just the start). So, how did I turn failure into fuel? Here’s how: Self-Awareness – As a kid, I didn’t understand why I was feeling disengaged. Now, simply recognising when this hits allows me to make a conscious decision: Do I push through or pivot? Communication – Share your passion! Let others feel your energy, it’s contagious. At the same time, don’t be afraid to express when you're not feeling it. This helps your close ones understand and support you. Reflection – Set aside time to think about what triggers those highs and lows. Knowing where you struggle helps you harness your strengths and manage the rest. So, if you feel different or unconventional, don’t let it hold you back. Own it. Turn it into your superpower and prove to your younger self just how far you can go!

Went well: - taking our first holiday in nearly a year (oops) we're currently at Centre Parcs with our NCT group - 6 couples and 11 kids 4 and under, so it's very relaxing 😂 and super fun. - my free taster session, Activate Abundance was off the scale great! - we (Kate Codrington and I) hosted the most amazing, profound and beautiful menopause weekend retreat with 18 people. - month one in UPLEVEL (all about Uplevelled Revenue) has gone great 🔥 What didn't go well: - my darling cat of 12 years was killed by a car which has really affected my energy for a while - a client has essentially ghosted me as she has some personal stuff going on. I do hate a lack of communication though (since she first shared). - the beta launch of my new 8-week inner transformation program, UPLEVEL ACTIVATION (it's not over yet as we start next week) but so far it's not going as well as I'd hoped. Realisations: - soft launching with just a few emails and some social content (to make it easier on myself) wasn't enough. - I love running live events (as I love facilitating groups), so I need to embrace that and plan it in better next time (June 12th & 13th FYI). One month in and it’s already gone global 🇺🇸🇬🇧 Impressive hey! What you don’t see from this image is that I’ve only sold one book to someone in the USA. I’ve not spent one penny on advertising and purposely decided to go for a very quiet ‘soft’ launch whilst I focus my attention on my day job and the small matter of moving house, so I’m pretty happy with the numbers that I’ve sold so far. One of the key lessons from How to Lead with CARE is the importance of authenticity, honesty, integrity, and ethical practice. We often compare ourselves to what we see on social media, and the way people ‘sell’ themselves… but how helpful is that? Some of you reading this may think that only one sale in the USA is a failure - not me, because a few months ago this book was bouncing around in my head, and now it’s a real thing, sitting on someone’s desk in America (as well as on a number desks in the UK too)… which, in my eyes is a huge success!
