HeForShe is a solidarity movement launched from the UN WOMEN for gender equality that provides a systematic approach and targeted platform on which men and boys can engage and become change agents towards the achievement equality. One year ago, we started only with a core team of 10 volunteers. The movement in Jordan started with 398 men from Jordan supporting the movement and now there are more than 10,000 + supporters from Jordan and over 300 volunteers that invites men and boys to build on the work of the women’s movement as equal partners, crafting and implementing a shared vision of gender equality that will benefit all of humanity. I now serve as one of the volunteers in the core team representing HeForShe Movement in Jordan and coordinating with Jordan universities for HeForShe activities. Jordan has now become the number one country in the Arab region with more than 10,000 +supporters of gender equality. Jordan is now the top of the Arab countries, and also the third country in the world which started the university tour to visit 14 universities in different governorates of the Kingdom.
