They say the definition of insanity is doing the same things again and again and expecting different results. Yet we continue to tackle the immense global problem of increasing digital learning standards by by and large doing the same thing - give teachers a training session and they'll be grand! As a former teacher, I can tell you that sitting down to listen to someone after a long day teaching and being expected to absorb all of what they say and then get it back out of your head into my students heads via a differentiated and engaging lesson...well it's fair to say that it didn't always go so well. If you're not already in agreement with me, you just have to Google 'do one off training sessions work?' to see for yourself. This podcast snippet looks at how Olus Education are revolutionising training by enabling teachers to learn alongside their students. Yes, training sessions are still impactful and they can work - but all learning is a journey. And Olus schools are the only schools I have seen where training impacts every student, or training never even takes place in the first place - the teachers learn alongside the students. Apprenticeship Funding Rules - Deep Dive   We are continuously being asked for our recommendations on the new ESFA Apprenticeship funding rules for 24/25, and what providers must do to stay ahead of the curve. 📚 Exciting and hopefully promising news this week from the new Education Secretary! Recent changes with our Government leaders are clearly set to significantly impact the UK's educational landscape. The government's new policies aim to address funding issues, enhance school infrastructure and hire 6,500 more teachers. I think the need for change in our education system has never been more urgent.
