Don’t read this. Its secret!  . 🤐 . Cheeky.    I’m sad to say, people often don’t listen to recruiters.     There are certainly enough bad recruiters out there to give us a terrible reputation. However, there are good ones out there too. When you speak with one that truly understands their industry, cares about their work and can communicate effectively, it can save you from so many pitfalls later down the line.    Is it ever too early to engage with a recruiter? 📅   In the early stage of a company, one bad hire can put the company into a tailspin. From my experience, many startup founders are reluctant to work with any third party when it comes to hiring. However, so many fail to realise just how much time goes into both finding and then securing that perfect candidate.     When adequate time is not allocated to the myriad of tasks required to source, attract, interview and onboard a perfect candidate, it can result in catastrophe.     As any founder can attest, “time” is not an abundant commodity in a startup. ⏳    Working with a skilled recruiter as early as possible to help understand the market, build a clear hiring plan, attract great candidates and handle the onboarding is crucial. You are now faced with increasingly expensive candidates, often without the increase in qualifications and skills.     The competition for talent, inflation and cost of living and the perception that paying more equates to better quality, which isn't always the case, all contribute to the trend of higher wages.     The primary impact is 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥. Organisations are now budgeting more for salaries without a plan to increase productivity or quality of work. With single vacancies attracting 100s of candidates that's a LOT of reading and shortlisting of CVs to get through...
