But let us explain. 👇🏻 - very salesy subject line - starting with 'dear team' feels like it's just a generic email to everyone - the first line feels weak and lacks relevancy - 4 paragraphs about the author, none about what the reader might need - email is way too long - weak CTA - including an opt-out link may affect deliverability What's the way to fix this email? → write a subject line that looks like an internal email: boring, lowercase, 3-4 words max → capture attention by showing a strong relevancy in the first line → point out any issues they could face → explain how your service fixes these issues (keep it casual) → aim for 40-50 words → end with interest-based CTA → remove unnecessary fluff → get to the point

"What is the current SDR landscape - given the meteoric rise of AI?" This is a question that constantly pops up when discussing SDR trends. If you believe a lot of the horses**t on LinkedIn, supposed 'experts' (😂) claim that the SDR role can be done easily (and cheaper) using AI exclusively. That is 100% not true - nothing will beat the personal touch, even at the top of the funnel stage where the initial outbound interactions between vendor and prospect has to be personalised and HUMAN! We all appreciate that AI is incredibly powerful and immensely valuable in many areas of business, but I don't believe it will ever completely replace person to person conversation - which is why the SDR role will continue to be vital to business success! SaaS companies that have dispensed with the SDR function (and there are many that have) will experience a significant drop in qualified pipeline and opportunities as prospects will easily be able to spot an AI-written email rather than a SDR-constructed message. The mantra "people buy from people" is never more important than in today's saturated tech world - and, from speaking with many e-commerce leaders, this is being proven frequently where pure AI-generated outreach is largely ineffective when compared to the creativity and finesse of good SDRs.
