Innovation focussed industry group. Accelerating the journey to a zero impact construction industry.

About us

We want a net zero emissions construction industry. Our vision of the future is an industry that places great importance on carbon efficiency. An industry that continuously measures and manages carbon through all project stages, basing project decisions on CO2e emissions, not just cost, time, quality, and safety. --- Our mission is to learn, share, and raise awareness of relevant topics. Our content will be accessible and engaging and focus on original thinking and innovation. We want to reach a wide audience, and spark change on projects, within organisations, and across the whole industry. We are an independent industry group of construction professionals from a range of backgrounds. We'll use our collective experience in practical solutions and project realities to deliver our mission.

As we wind down for the festive season, we’re reflecting on a year of progress, collaboration, and inspired action at ZERO. This year, we made meaningful strides in our mission to revolutionize the construction industry for a sustainable future—and we couldn’t have done it without the support of this incredible community and sponsors - XYZ Reality, Sterling DCS - Digital Construction Solutions , and supporter Bentley Systems. Here’s what we’ve achieved together: 🌍 𝐂𝐀𝐅 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ZERO proudly registered with CAF America, joining their global charity database. This milestone expands our ability to connect with partners and supporters worldwide, strengthening our mission to drive meaningful change in the construction industry. If you’d like to support us through CAF America, reach out or visit our profile today. 🎤 𝐙𝐄𝐑𝐎 𝐂𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 In 2024, we hosted our very own online conference, ZERO Con Live, bringing together industry professionals from around the world to explore actionable pathways toward net-zero construction. We also attended and spoke at key industry events across the UK, Europe, and the US, building connections and amplifying the conversation around sustainability in construction. Interested in joining forces? Let us know—we’re already planning! 💡 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 We launched a new series of workshops designed to bring together diverse professionals from across the industry. These sessions tackle specific challenges, spark innovative thinking, and generate actionable insights. We’ve taken the outcomes of these workshops and transformed them into in-depth articles, ensuring that the ideas and solutions reach beyond the room to inform the wider industry. This initiative will grow even further in 2025! Want to take part in our workshops or share your expertise in an article? Get in touch now — we’d love to collaborate. 🎙️ 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬 This year, we’ve expanded our podcast presence with several new episodes to our own podcast diving into key topics. Beyond that, we’ve been honoured to feature as guests on other podcasts, sharing our mission and insights with even broader audiences. Did you spot our new podcast logo?👀 🚀 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 2025 The momentum doesn’t stop here. In 2025, we’re scaling up this initiative—more workshops, more articles, and more opportunities to collaborate with professionals across the construction ecosystem. If you’re ready to be part of this movement, we want to hear from you. Let’s build a future where net zero is the norm, not the exception. Let’s talk logistics—and sustainability! In construction, every decision counts. Site logistics might not be the first thing that comes to mind when tackling carbon emissions, but it’s an untapped goldmine for impactful change. Here’s how we can rethink and reduce emissions right where the work begins: 🔸 Local Sourcing: Cut down transportation emissions by sourcing materials closer to the project site. Fewer miles = cleaner skies. 🔸 Efficient Planning: Smart strategies that minimize material movement and waste can slash our carbon footprint. Let’s plan better to build better. 🔸 Efficient Routing: Optimized delivery schedules and routes aren’t just time-savers—they’re planet-savers. Reduced travel distance means less fuel burned. 🔸 Shared Transportation: Encourage carpooling, shuttles, or public transport for teams. Small shifts in how we commute can lead to big environmental wins. 🔸 Remote Monitoring: Limit on-site visits by embracing tech. Streamlined workflows reduce transportation needs and keep projects moving smoothly. #NetZeroConstruction #SiteLogistics #SustainabilityInAction

🏗 Reducing carbon: Where do you start? That is one of the topics of the podcast episode me and Matthew Jackson did. You can find it here: https://lnkd.in/euAWb2Bi - A lot of companies have these targets. A target could be: Reduce 50% of carbon by 2030. But... where do you even start? What do you do tomorrow? And reducing it by 50%, from what baseline are we actually talking about here? You might be in an organization that's actually quite sustainable already. Potentially speaking. ❓ Where do you think we should start? ❓

Concrete is currently the structural backbone of the construction industry—and it’s time we make it sustainable. ZERO is committed to revolutionizing how we approach construction, and that means tackling emissions from concrete head-on. Solutions like Cemvision’s industrial residual binders and graphene-enhanced concrete are leading the charge toward a net-zero future. These innovations don’t just reduce carbon—they redefine what’s possible in construction. It’s time to take action. Together, we can build a future that works for the planet and the people on it. #NetZero #ConstructionInnovation #Sustainability Let’s get concrete—what will you do to make a difference?
