Week 1 of the annual X2 Mince Pie Review is officially complete! 🎄 Every year, our expert tasting team (pictured below) rate various supermarket own-brand mince pies throughout December and crown a winner just before our office Christmas buffet. Each brand is rated on- 🌟 Packaging It's got to be sturdy as well as festive! 🌟 Filling This includes the ratio & the quality. 🌟 The base Points are reduced if it has a 'soggy bottom' 😬 🌟 Pastry No one likes dry pastry... Each category is scored by each judge before our Mince Pie Coordinator (Marketing Exec🤣) works out the average and calculates the total score. Because our tasting team take their roles very seriously, there has to be a few rules... ❗ It must be the standard own brand, no extra special ranges! ❗ The mince pie must be eaten cold with no extra toppings that may cloud judgment!
