Working with children, communities and supporters to transform the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children.
About us
World Vision is the world’s largest international children’s charity, working to bring real hope to millions of children in the world’s hardest places. And we do it all as a sign of God’s unconditional love. Click on the link to view our latest jobs: http://www.worldvision.org.uk/careers Poverty, conflict and disaster leave millions of children living in fear. Fear of hunger and disease. Fear of violence, conflict and exploitation. Fear that robs them of a childhood. Our local staff work in thousands of communities across the world to free children from fear. They know the names and stories of each child they help to support. They live and work alongside them, their families and communities to help change the world they live in for good. Our worldwide presence means we're quick to respond to emergencies like conflict and natural disasters. We also use our influence and global reach to ensure that children are represented at every level of decision-making. Founded more than 65 years ago by American missionary, Bob Pierce, our vision is of a world where every child has the chance to live life to the full. A world where each child is loved, protected and cared for, and enjoys good health and an education. A world where every child is free from fear. We want you to be part of making this vision a reality. Just like our staff all over the world, you’ll get to know the names of the children you help. You can sponsor, donate, pray, campaign or simply share their stories. However you choose to become involved, you will experience what it means to bring real and lasting change to children in the world’s hardest places. Do you have a child protection or adult beneficiary concern or any other concern regarding World Vision's work or staff conduct? World Vision is committed to taking action on every safeguarding report we receive. In #Lebanon, rising living costs are forcing families to make heartbreaking choices. Amnah, a mother of 10, has had to send 8 of her daughters to work in the potato fields instead of back to school due to overwhelming financial pressure and food insecurity. No child should have to sacrifice their future to help their family survive. This #Christmas, let’s give these children the chance to dream again. Sponsor a child today: wvuk.org/1U7P50U6b5A #ENOUGH #EndChildHunger #EnoughIsEnough #Christmas2024

We live in a world of plenty. Plenty of food. Plenty of people who could make a difference. Yet not #ENOUGH is reaching the most vulnerable children. Every day, hunger and malnutrition steals the lives and futures of children. But you can give a child and their community ENOUGH this #Christmas. Sponsor a child to meet their urgent needs with ENOUGH of the right food - and help their whole community break the cycle of hunger and poverty, for good. 💔 At just 15, Maryam had to make an unimaginable choice: leave her childhood home to find food or risk her family’s survival. With her mother too sick to travel, Maryam set out alone with her 10 younger siblings, desperate to find enough food and water to keep them alive. No child should face this. This #Christmas, let’s stand with children like Maryam. Give the gift of #ENOUGH, donate now: wvuk.org/m7Uo50TWylK #EndChildHunger #EnoughIsEnough #Christmas2024

No child should suffer from hunger - especially when there is #ENOUGH food for every person on the planet to thrive. Right now, a child living in one of the most dangerous places in the world urgently needs your help to survive the global hunger crisis. Just $11 can provide ENOUGH therapeutic food to a severely malnourished child for a month, which can be the difference between life and death. Donate now: wvuk.org/m7Uo50TWylK #EndChildHunger #EnoughIsEnough #Christmas2024

What would you do to save your child’s life? Christmas is a time to spoil our loved ones — lavish meals, special treats, and enough leftovers to last for days. But for millions of families around the world, this season is no different from any other. Instead of festive feasts, many parents struggle to provide even a single meal for their children. Nearly one-third of the world’s population doesn’t have #ENOUGH to eat. While we enjoy our holiday meals, let’s not forget those who won’t be able to share in the same joy. This #Christmas, you can make a difference. Help ensure children get the food they need. Donate today: wvuk.org/Vi6w50TQP2h #EndChildHunger #EnoughIsEnough #Christmas2024

What if trees could stop a disaster in its tracks? In Eswatini, a community once threatened by eroding gullies and dangerous soil conditions is now finding safety and hope — thanks to Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR). Heavy rains and soil erosion had made the land unsafe, with farmers unable to graze livestock and families fearing their homes could collapse into the ravines. “Farmers were frustrated; we couldn’t even build homes near these beautiful lands,” says Mzwandile, a former local leader. World Vision Eswatini stepped in with FMNR, a low-cost land restoration method that uses the natural regrowth of trees to stabilize the land and improve resilience. By planting 500 fruit trees, providing fencing materials, and securing over 1,000 eucalyptus trees with government support, the community has stopped the gully’s spread. “The trees have really prevented the gullies from spreading, and the fencing keeps our children and livestock safe,” Mzwandile adds. FMNR is not just restoring land — it's transforming lives and creating a safer, more sustainable future for Eswatini. #COP29 #ClimateAction #ClimateChange #ClimateCrisis #Youth4Climate
