On a chilly November evening, with tube disruptions testing everyone’s resolve, over 60 attendees gathered at Lloyds Banking Group’s London Wall offices for a WIBF Thought Leadership event on leadership and sustainability. The impressive turnout last night was a testament to the pivotal role the financial sector plays in our collective sustainable journey. We were privileged to host two outstanding panels featuring experts with deep knowledge and experience in the sustainability space. Their insights emphasised the importance of curiosity, asking bold questions, and finding your community to keep the dialogue alive. The first panel focused on Climate Leadership, highlighting the critical role of engagement and communication in addressing climate challenges. Panelists shared practical strategies and real-world examples of fostering climate leadership within and beyond the financial sector. The second panel expanded the conversation, addressing broader ESG considerations and the interconnectivity of environmental, social, and governance challenges. Attendees gained fresh insights into what truly unfolds during global events like New York Climate Week and COPs, and explored practical ways to address sustainability holistically. Thank you to the panelists for your collective wisdom and insights!
