On World Human Rights Day- 10 December 2024, Kenyan citizens courageously exercised their democratic right to protest in the #EndFemicide march and were met with force, brutality and unwarranted arrests! The experience of Tech Facilitated GBV isn’t uniform; it’s shaped by intersecting identities, like race, sexuality, and disability, which amplify the effects and risks. Day 1 at the #AWIDForum2024 and it was beyond what we had imagined. The Womankind team connected to explore the different sessions from #FeministPhilanthropy to #FlexibleFunding and creative ways to fund raise. Can't wait to see what Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID) has in store for us for day 2 🙌
