About us

Madlug was founded in 2015 by Dave Linton. A man whose only experience in the luggage industry was bags of enthusiasm. He was heartbroken when he learned that most children in care have their belongings moved in a bin bag. In that moment, Dave set out to do something about it. With £480, he started Madlug and came up with our ‘Buy one, Wear one, Help one’ approach. With every bag purchased, a pack-away travel bag goes to a child in care.

  • 4 out of 5 children in care move with their belongings in black bin bags. How does this make you feel? In this week’s episode of More Than a Bag, Dave shares why Madlug chooses not to use images or videos of children and young people in care to sell our bags. At Madlug, we believe that no child or young person should have to sit in front of a camera or share their story to receive a pack-away travel bag. These bags are a gift given freely, with no strings attached—because every young person has huge value, huge worth and deserves to be treated with dignity. Equally, we believe that our customers—the incredible Madlug community—don’t need images of children in care to be inspired to make a difference. You care deeply about supporting children and young people, which is why you choose to shop with Madlug and gift with purpose. Listen to Dave’s full thoughts in this week’s episode and join us in our mission to give dignity to children in care 👉https://lnkd.in/dn3PERmk
