With rural connectivity still a challenge for many parts of the UK, WCCTV is aiming to bring wireless security solutions to more places utilising the power of Starlink. Over recent years, there has been a boost in rural connectivity, with 47% of rural premises having access to gigabit-capable broadband as of January 2024. This has increased since September 2023 from 44%, however, compared to 84% for urban areas, connectivity is still behind. As we approach the winter months, WCCTV continues to supply its portable Solar CCTV Trailers to police and local authorities across the UK. Last week, we had the pleasure of supporting the London Borough of Tower Hamlets with their first deployment, providing hands-on support to ensure their operational success. Today is World Mental Health Day, and this year’s theme is Mental Health at Work. Work has a significant impact on our mental health, and WCCTV is committed to creating a workplace that supports mental well-being. Some of the ways we support our colleagues include: 💬 Time to Talk? Talking openly about mental health is one of the most effective ways to break the stigma. We know starting that conversation can be hard, so we have introduced Mental Health First Aiders. They are here to support, educate and help manage our colleague's mental health. 💪 Move Your Body: Exercise is another powerful tool for improving mental well-being, especially during the workday. Meet our newest team member, Tinker, our official Head of Happiness, for one day only! 🐾 Tinker is taking her role very seriously - ensuring everyone in the office is greeted with a wagging tail and plenty of smiles.
