We were so excited to see our first new shop in 6-years open this week! 🙌 Our new Little Waitrose in Hampton Hill, London, will be our 47th convenience shop and is all part of our ambitions to push further into the convenience market. It comes as we also announce how we’ll be building on our partnerships with Welcome Break and Shell. Huge thanks to our customers and Partners, who donated a whopping 28,882kgs of food during the food drive effort at Waitrose and John Lewis & Partners shops this September 🤩 The donations are enough to provide nearly 69,000 meals in food parcels for people facing hardship, and are distributed via Trussell‘s community of food banks who we’ve partnered with since 2011 through donation points in Waitrose stores 💚 Did you know you can also donate to Trussell online at Waitrose.com? Just search “donate” ➡️ bit.ly/donateTrussell #DrivenByPurpose 

This year’s Waitrose Winter Food & Drink Festival took place over 3 days last weekend and thousands of people sampled, sipped and tasted their way around the 250 supplier exhibitors. 🥂 A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing food and drink suppliers - to our headline sponsors, Mutti and Unearthed in particular, and to Ridgeview Wine Estate who provided their delicious Bloomsbury NV for our VIPs.🙌 So many great activities, inspiring demos, memorable masterclasses, workshops and more - over 100 activities to choose from! 🎉 #WaitroseFoodFestival #WaitroseFood&DrinkFestival

OUR FOOD & DRINK REPORT 2024-25! 🍽 🍹 🍪 2024 was the year of crookies, hash browns, chocolate butter, cucumbers, instant noodles, pistachio croissants, pimped up pantry staples, posh peanut butter, pickle juice, chocolate muffins, hot honey, TimTams and Ottolenghi! 🍸We’ve been scratch cooking with shortcuts and recreating restaurant and bar experiences at home with feta brine martinis. 🍞 It was the year we ditched the recipe, tried pickling and making bread from scratch to avoid UPFs, started counting plants, not calories and embraced zebra striping and boxed wine. Today marks one year since the launch of The Coronation Food Project, a visionary initiative working to tackle food waste across the UK ♻ Inspired by His Majesty The King and coordinated by the King Charles III Charitable Fund, the project bridges the gap between surplus food and those in need, benefiting both people and the planet. As a supporter, Waitrose is proud to announce a significant donation. Working with our supplier, Daybreak Foods, FareShare UK and The Felix Project, we will divert approximately 130 tonnes of surplus pasta - enough to create up to 350,000 meals annually.
