We are hiring a Senior Responsible Officer to the new Velindre Cancer Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with passion for changing the clinical outcomes for patients across a region. Velindre University NHS Trust is seeking to recruit a Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) to lead the delivery of the new Velindre Cancer Centre (nVCC) in Cardiff. When complete, the new Velindre Cancer Centre will be a world class facility which provides specialist tertiary oncology services to patients across South East Wales. 👍 Velindre is very proud to have recruited the first patients in the UK to the Cardiff-led BICCC study. A new colorectal cancer clinical trial, BICCC aims to kick-start the T cell response so the patient’s immune system destroys any remaining cancer cells after surgery to increase disease-free survival. Velindre’s Professor Rob Jones is working with Chief Investigator Professor Andy Godkin of Cardiff University and Cardiff and Vale University Health Board on this randomised, two-arm study which will open at 10 sites around the UK.
