About us
UK Tech Week is a new initiative that aims to showcase the innovation that can be found in tech hubs, festivals and organisations in cities right across the UK. Bringing together a number of existing tech events from across the country, UK Tech Week 2025 will take place 17th to 21st 2025. It will be an open platform event, where any festival or organisation can put on an event free of charge. Participating event partners so far include Birmingham Tech Week (TechWM), Tech Week Humber, Bristol Tech Festival, TechNExt in the North East and Leeds Digital Festival, plus organisations such as techUK, UK Tech Cluster Group and Tech London Advocates & Global Tech Advocates. Huge thanks to the team at Digital Sport North for inviting me to speak alongside Richelle Schuster FRSA and Alex Craven, discussing tech ecosystems, plus a chance to hear about Richelle's new venture, Virtual Sport Group. Expertly compered as ever by Rich Williams, it was good to talk about the importance of community and collaboration. Andy Roberts, Rob Powell and the rest of the DSN team have truly built a community over the last few years, resulting in packed rooms like last night. The event was just about the best organised one I've ever spoken at - I'm stealing everything in Rosie Snooke's Event Manual! Great to sit and listen to the second panel and hear how they're growing their sports tech businesses. Really impressed with the stories from James Thomas from Azzuu, Michelle Anderson from Soul Padel and Liam Parkinson from Engage Partnerships. I'm looking forward to following their continued success. Good to catch up with lots of people including Elly Nettleton, Jonathan Filewood, Tim Lewis, Mike Grenham, Matt Ward, Martyn Long FRSA, and Craig Wilson at last.
