Today we turn out attention to Unit 12 where Dr Peter Ellington, Fran Ellington, and Jenni Rose ask - What is carbon accounting? This unit helps to demystify carbon accounting, explaining the process and how implementing and reporting on net zero strategies has an important role in reducing overall carbon emissions and helping address climate change. It was full steam ahead yesterday at the Nourishing Norfolk Warehouse! We were sending out donations from our Christmas campaign to food hubs ready to help make the festive season a bit easier for those struggling with the rising cost of living. Thanks to local businesses like TBLA Ltd | Certified B Corp, Leathes Prior Solicitors, Adept IT Solutions, Naked Marketing, Larking Gowen and Borne, we've been able to secure Christmas treats like stuffing and gravy from Booker Wholesale Retail, while other businesses like NatWest Great Yarmouth, Norse Group and Maldon Chocolates donated treats from their staff, customers or production lines. The campaign is still open, and together we can continue making a difference to those who need it most this Christmas 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eJHs-4Vt

"Triple Bottom Line Accounting Marks Milestone with Successful First Stage of Norse Group ESG Partnership" Triple Bottom Line Accounting (TBLA) is pleased to announce the completion of Stage 1 of our strategic ESG partnership with the Norse Group. The 12-month initiative, launched in August 2024, represents a significant collaboration between TBLA and one of the UK's leading public sector partnerships. In this stage, we have successfully conducted a comprehensive ESG gap analysis for Norse Group, documenting the substantial environmental and community impact that Norse Group has undertaken to date (such as their practical involvement in the Norfolk Community Foundation #NourishingNorfolk initiative) and laying the foundation for future sustainable practices and ethical governance. Find out more about our partnership approach and how we developed bespoke maturity mapping techniques for each of the Norse divisions and functions in our latest blog: https://lnkd.in/dJKcpdJ8 Photo: Norse CEO, Justin Galliford talking to TBLA CEO, Peter Ellington at the Norfolk Community Foundation launch of the “Good for Good” Social Impact project in Norwich earlier this summer. #ESG #socialimpact #environmentalimpact #ethicalgovernance Andrea Finegan Dr Peter Ellington Justin Galliford BSc(Hons) MSc MBA DipMC Andy Wood OBE DL Roger Smith (Veteran) - CMIOSH CMILT FIIRSM MCGI Richard Bettle Claire Cullens MBE Sophie Berry Heidi Fisher MBE

We have published the latest Triple Bottom Line Accounting Environmental Impact Report on our website. The image below is a screenshot of the executive summary You can read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/efV-agsS It's not glossy—we have not paid for professional designers— it is simple and authentic and we have been honest about targets not met. It has been drafted, shared and published on a Word document. We hope it might inspire others. This is the first of our five #BCorp Stakeholder Impact Reports. Over the next few months, we will publish our impact on Workers, Clients, Community (including suppliers), and Governance. Why does it take so long? Because everything is shared and agreed upon by the whole team who contribute to the final versions. They remind us of what is possible and what is aspirational! There are currently five directors/ owners of TBLA. There are five key stakeholders – how neat! Each director has taken a stakeholder role to consider, reporting on what we have done and how we will improve. Let us know what you think about the first report. Our environmental impact reports dating back to 2020 and other sustainability policies are in the footer of our website pages. https://lnkd.in/dnNfbQC We are immensely grateful to Trace | Certified B Corp™ for helping us with our carbon footprint reporting this year. Their expertise has been invaluable in this process. We also want to express our gratitude to Make It Wild for finding us a local biodiversity project to invest in. Their efforts will enable us to get actively 'boots on the ground' involved in conservation work on this site from early Spring 2025. Read the details on page 17. This year we have decided to spend our £600 corporate Christmas card budget on making a real difference for struggling families in our community. Help us double our impact by donating just a small amount and marking your donation - "Inspired by TBLA" https://lnkd.in/egA6CBRg Triple Bottom Line Accounting is part of the “Good for Good” initiative facilitated by the Norfolk Community Foundation. This initiative links businesses and charities across Norfolk for lasting community impact. One of the six Good for Good projects is Nourishing Norfolk, which funds food hubs that bring a little extra joy to those who need it most. You may already be aware of your local food hubs, but if you aren’t, you may not know that food hubs like these support thousands of people near you to access affordable food and essentials. Nourishing Norfolk is asking local businesses to help each Nourishing Norfolk Food hub get a crate of Christmas goodies for its members. A stocked Christmas crate will cost less than £5 per family and include gravy, stuffing, and mince pies. Our contribution will help us provide 120 special Christmas hampers ensuring families enjoy a festive meal together, even during difficult times. A simple gift like this can mean the world to someone—a warm meal, a treat to share, and a reminder that their community cares. Every donation, big or small, makes a significant impact and will help bring a little magic to families who might otherwise go without this Christmas. If any of our clients, suppliers or partners want to add to our contribution, you can donate to the Nourishing Norfolk Christmas appeal by clicking here. If you label your donation “Inspired by TBLA”, we can track our wider social impact. https://lnkd.in/egA6CBRg We value your opinion. Tell us how you feel about swapping a corporate Christmas card for a social impact. Is this a good idea, or could we do something better? We are open to your ideas for Christmas 2025. Please share your thoughts and suggestions with us by return email or via your account manager. #nourishingnorfolk #goodforgood #socialimpact Grace Appleby Robert Hall Tatiana Blana ACCA Dr Peter Ellington Richard Newell Claire Atkinson Sophie Berry
