TDC is a private debt fund that supports businesses in the heart of the UK economy.

About us

TDC is an established private credit fund providing flexible debt capital to UK lower mid-market corporates. Since its launch in 2015, TDC has raised over £1bn of capital across five funds and invested over £500m across more than 40 investments with 19 realisations to date. This investment has supported a range of positive transactional events including management buyouts, acquisitions, buy and build strategies and recapitalisations across both sponsor backed and owner-managed corporates. With typical initial investment size of £10m - £40m, TDC is currently investing its institutionally-backed Fund IV designed to support the growth ambitions of private equity backed corporates, as well as its recently launched Impact Fund into growing SMEs left underserviced by more traditional lenders. This offering is provided by TDC’s experienced team of investment professionals, who have over 250 years of combined investment and credit risk management experience. TDC’s contribution to the UK’s lower mid-market has been repeatedly recognised through numerous industry awards, including being named “Funder of the Year” at the Business Desk Rainmaker awards for the last five years.

Last week, techUK launched the Foundations for the Future report, showing how data centres can supercharge UK economic growth! We’re proud to have been part of this crucial report, which underscores the essential role data centres play in the UK’s digital economy. Far from being just infrastructure, data centres are vital for almost every UK job, and they’re forecasted to contribute an additional £44 billion to the economy by 2035. Key Highlights: ◾ £4.7 billion GVA added annually, with projections for more. ◾ 43,500 jobs supported today, and an estimated 40,200 more by 2035. ◾ £640 million in tax revenue, expected to increase by £9.7 billion as the sector grows. Data centres fuel digital transformation and innovation across the UK. To unlock their full potential, policy support in areas like renewable energy access, planning reforms, and skills development is essential. This report outlines the key steps for sustainable industry growth. There was plenty for us to celebrate at last night's Insider Media North West Dealmakers Awards, taking home Bank/Funder of the Year.   Having built a national private credit platform of scale all from Manchester, we've always been proud of our Northern roots. Our team was recognised for completing a number of landmark deals across the UK, while still supporting Northern businesses through our Impact Fund.   Well done to all of our fellow nominees, and a big congratulations to the night's other big winners. We've had a busy summer working across a number of new investments, including supporting Waterland Private Equity's investment into Beyond Law Group, and facilitating Risc IT Solutions Ltd's investment into Novem Ltd.   Our portfolio has also been very active, with a number of bolt-on acquisitions along with the first exit from out Impact Fund with Latus Health.   There's also plenty to celebrate, with India Kendrick being promoted to Investment Manager, along with our nomination at Insider Media's North West Dealmakers Awards for Banker/Funder of the year.   Take a look at everything the team has been up to...

We are pleased to announce the successful exit of Phoenix Equity Partners’ asset Nineteen Group from TDC Fund III after first investing in the business in May 2023. During the time of TDC’s investment the business has seen a significant increase in revenue and EBITDA through both organic and inorganic means. TDC’s support has helped the business expand to an international scale with shows now being hosted in New York, Chicago and Sydney following the acquisition of Oliver Kinross in September 2023. It has been a pleasure working with the leadership team Peter Jones (Founder and CEO), Alison Jackson (MD) and Jonathan Lacey (CFO) during our investment and we wish them, the business and Phoenix every success in the future. Last night we had the pleasure of hosting our End of Summer Social at Electric Shuffle - it was great to catch up so many advisors, sponsors, lawyers and other funders from across the Manchester Corporate Finance community.   Thank you to all those who came along to support TDC. We value our professional relationships greatly and look forward to collaborating over the next 12 months.

Earlier this year, we successfully exited NRG Riverside after it was sold by Palatine to Astatine Investment Partners following a period of significant growth. We originally invested in the Lancashire-based business in 2017 before any other sponsor involvement, allowing the owners of NRG to release some capital from the business, with Palatine subsequently investing into the business in 2020. Since 2020, NRG’s revenue has grown more than 50%, with employee headcount increasing to more than 220 across 10 sites.
