Clinical & Mandatory Training for care & nursing staff working with children & (young) people with complex health needs
About us
Train with Care Ltd offers specialised, personalised, and bespoke clinical training for both clinical and non-clinical care staff, including personal assistants (PAs), who support individuals with complex health needs in the community and those with personal health budgets. We are open to receive referrals from commissioners, local authorities, individual patients, nurses, carers and micro providers, domiciliary providers, care and nursing homes and hospitals. Our training focuses on equipping PAs to deliver both complex and routine care as outlined in individual care plans. This training is tailored to the unique needs of the people, children, and young people they support, whether at home, school, or another agreed location. We ensure that all staff are competently signed off upon completion. Our key aim is to provide highly bespoke training, clinical supervision, and tailored support from qualified nursing professionals. We ensure that all care staff achieve a high level of competence through supervised practice until they are fully signed off. Our services include: • Bespoke clinical training in various settings (home, school, hospital) • Mandatory training, face to face • Competency sign-off • Clinical supervision • Governance support for organisations, including mock-Inspections. Our trainers are fully competent, experienced registered nurses with current pins and enhanced DBS checks, specialising in training and assessing PAs for complex community care.

🌟 We had a fantastic day at the COTS show today! Browsing through the various care stands was wonderful, meeting new colleagues and catching up with old friends. One highlight was visiting the Living Options Devon stand. They are an amazing charitable organisation offering a wide array of services for disabled people. 🌈 Living Options Devon provides comprehensive support to individuals with disabilities, long-term health conditions, and the Deaf community in the South West. Their free, confidential counseling and emotional support, advocacy services, and specialised assistance for British Sign Language users are invaluable. The Countryside Mobility scheme also improves access to outdoor spaces with off-road mobility scooters, encouraging community engagement and independence. 🧡 #Inclusion #DisabilitySupport #MentalHealth #Advocacy #CommunityEngagement #COTSshow2024 #LivingOptionsDevon Heidi SlatterCharlie MillerHelen JonesSean Villiers

🧩 Understanding stimming is crucial in creating inclusive environments, especially in healthcare and social care settings. We raise awareness about it as part of our training Tier 2 Oliver McGowan Mandatory training. 💡 Stimming, or self-stimulatory behaviour, is a common coping mechanism for individuals with neurodiverse conditions like autism. 🌈 This video explains it well 🎉 Ben Drew Sarah Cubberley #Neurodiversity #Inclusion Heidi Slatter Loren Snow #StimmingAwareness #OliverMcGowanTraining #AcceptanceMatters 🌟

🌟 At the end of last week, we had the pleasure of meeting the care staff from Marama Care in Plymouth! 🏥 We delivered Epilepsy awareness and buccal Midazolam training, a crucial combination to understand the need for Midazolam during seizures. 💊💡 The sessions were incredibly interactive, with engaged participants who shared case examples and explored their cultural heritage. 🌍 It was inspiring to discuss the difference between advice from their ‘elders’ and best practice evidence based seizure management practices. 🧠💬 Both sessions were a success, filled with valuable insights and even some fun during the practical assessment of Midazolam! 🎉 A huge thank you to Marama Care for their support and ensuring continuity of care by getting carers to the training sessions on time. ⏰💼 #EpilepsyAwareness #MidazolamTraining #ContinuityOfCare #HealthcareTraining #CommunityHealth #CulturalHeritage #Caregivers #PatientCare #MaramaCare #PlymouthCommunity #EmpoweringCommunities #skillsforcare

🌟 Great training day! 🌟 We recently wrapped up an incredibly insightful training session with a phenomenal care team dedicated to supporting an individual with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). 💼💪 While we've been delivering clinical training to this exceptional team for years, this session took a deep dive into addressing Autonomic Dysreflexia, a potentially life-threatening condition for those with high SCI. 🧠👩⚕️👨⚕️ Working closely with the client and their spouse, we crafted a case scenario tailored to their unique circumstances. Together, we practiced, provided feedback, and developed personalised strategies to ensure the team is fully equipped to handle any situation. 🤝💡 After the session, we delivered a personalised flowchart outlining steps to manage Autonomic Dysreflexia specific to the client’s individual's needs. It's incredibly rewarding to empower this team with the skills they need to provide top-notch care. 🎉🏥 Huge thanks to Sean Villiers for his invaluable support throughout! 🙌 #SpinalCordInjury #TrainingSession #PatientCare #Teamwork #skillsforcare 🚀👨⚕️👩⚕️
