Growing our capacity. I am pleased to announce that Tods Technology have completed the purchase of the land and buildings formerly known as Portland Engineering. Over the coming months the 4.5 acre site with over 38,000 sq ft of building will be transformed into a world class production facility for acoustically tuned structural composite components. The additional capacity is much needed due to Tods continued success in the marine defence sector.

  • I was delighted to welcome Lloyd Hatton MP for South Dorset to the Tods facility at Portland. I was able to share our growth plans and how it would support the local economy. We discussed apprenticeships and training and the collaboration between local business and colleges. Due to continued success Tods Technology are expanding their apprenticeship scheme for 2025.  Tods offers prospective apprentices hands-on experience in an industry with growing global demand, and excellent future job prospects. We will soon be starting our search for the 2025 apprentice intake. If interested contact [email protected] Peter Eckersall Managing Director

  • Tods Technology attended SIA 2024 as a part of a wide UK delegation demonstrating the commitment UK has to making AUKUS a success. Key presentations from senior military and civilian delegates of all three participating countries discussed not only the challenges and solutions faced implementing the “most complex project ever seen”, but also the very clear reasons for and benefits that will be seen from its implementation. The Honourable Richard Marles, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Australia was emphatic in his support for the project stating AUKUS is proceeding and will proceed in the future. Her Excellency Ms Caroline Kennedy, Ambassador of The United States of America likened the scale and importance of the decision to embark on this project, to that of her father’s, when he announced that the US would put a man on the moon within 10 years. Her Excellency Victoria Tredell, CMG MVO reiterated the importance of the project and the trilateral partnership to that of maintaining the balance of power not just in the Indo-Pacific region but around the world. Several enlightening and encouraging messages have come out of this conference and it is clear how important and valued this tripartite collaboration is to all three countries.  Tods Technology is proud to be a part of the team enabling such a globally important and technically challenging project to succeed.
