A few people have been guessing the future of digital marketing going into 2025. Here’s ours 🔮 The marketers who will succeed in 2025 are those who have already embraced the transformative changes in search from 2024 and taking them into next year 💪 So it’s not about predicting the future, it’s about taking the developments and learnings from 2024 into next year with you 😎 1️⃣AI: Once a marketer’s enemy, now a marketer’s guilty pleasure AI is not a replacement for your marketing team, it’s a tool to help marketers automate workflow and develop ideas. Successful marketers understand how to use AI in the right way to drive results. 2️⃣Search evolution: Beyond keywords Google's AI Overviews have transformed search results. It’s still relatively early days for AIO, but content quality and helpfulness is more important than ever to rank in the new, revamped position 1! 3️⃣Personalisation / More specific searches (long tail keywords) Users want way more specific results for their searches. And ideally, personalised content. That’s why people’s searches are getting longer and not just single word searches. 4️⃣Authenticity in the AI era Yep, AI again. YOU (and your brand) become your strongest differentiator. Expertise and unique perspectives matter more than ever - although this has always been important in cutting through the noise! 5️⃣Multi channel content FTW Content is more than website content and social media posts, it’s videos, gifs, graphics, images, quizzes and even memes! It’s content that drives engagement! There’s definitely more to take with you into 2025 🎆 What would you add to the list?

You’ve probably read about SEO when researching digital marketing for your business. You may have even read about SEO and content separately, or as one. So what does it all mean? 🤷♂️ SEO content used to mean content that sits on your website. Today, it’s more than that. It’s your: 👨💻Website content 📱Social posts 🎥Videos 👩💼Business directory listings 👩💻Forums All the content you create can be discovered on search engines 🔥 Content and SEO is always evolving. What remains the same is that SEO content is the mechanism for getting your brand to show up for people’s (customer) searches. And turn your visitors into customers 🤑 For more info on SEO content in marketing, read our blog: https://lnkd.in/e4zABUGB

Keep an eye on how this affects your website over the next 2 weeks 👀 Another Google core update has landed. And once again, Google’s talking about improving its search results to show ‘genuinley useful’ content. That means it’s on you to keep creating quality website content that’s truly helpful to your users.
Today we released the November 2024 core update to Google Search. This update is designed to continue our work to improve the quality of our search results by showing more content that people find genuinely useful and less content that feels like it was made just to perform well on Search. This has been added to our Search status dashboard at https://lnkd.in/ezpkZUJw and will be updated when the rollout is complete. For more information about core updates, please see https://lnkd.in/gjkpgQxy The rollout may take up to 2 weeks to complete.

Brand Vision found that 72% of executives said humour in marketing attracts buyers to new products. And without being biased, it's true. The most memorable marketing has humour behind it. Think about your favourite and most memorable tv ads you've seen. For me: - The Cadbury UK advert with the kids making their eyebrows dance. - Raising the eyebrows theme - the recent 'RaiseYourArches' McDonald's ad where they also raise their brows like the golden arches. - The countless Specsavers adverts where there's some sort of mishap. E.g. shearing your dog by accident while shearing your sheep. There's no better way to connect with someone than giving them a good laugh. Here's our latest blog where we cover off how you and your business could embrace humour in your marketing, particularly content marketing: https://lnkd.in/e7ncKZeg #creativemarketing #contentmarketing

Tom shares his view of that Tesco advert doing the rounds on LinkedIn 👇
I'll say it. The Tesco ad just isn't doing it for me. You know the one I'm on about - it took over your LinkedIn yesterday and you're only seeing more of it today, but... why? I'm not afraid to admit that it took me a while to 'get'. And maybe all that exposes is the fact I won't be winning The 1% Club anytime soon. Or maybe it highlights that billboards requiring thought may not be best placed on streets where there's only a short amount of time available to interpret the ad. Would it hit harder in a train station? At a bus stop? Anywhere people have time to sit and stare and think? Perhaps. I'm all for losing the logo. Tesco has a strong enough brand identity to be able to make those moves. But, I just want more. At least people are talking. Every little helps, I guess💙

TJ Creative Marketing Ltd - Creative Digital Content Marketing: Content, Search & Social Media reposted this
Despite sharing someone’s post who says they didn’t like it, I wanted to say I love this billboard ad from Tesco 👏 Yes, admittedly, it took me a minute or two (ok, more like five!) to understand the hidden meaning, but if anything, it made me appreciate the strength of Tesco’s brand. I knew it was a Tesco ad without the logo showing. Then again, that may be because I worked there five years during college and uni on the fruit and veg department. To make this point worse, I had to use my produce knowledge to work out what citrus fruit begins with ‘T’ 😅 I’m enjoying what I’m seeing from Tesco at the moment. From the Clubcard power stuff through to their new Whoosh service 👌🏻 This out of home ad gets a 👍 from me! It’s different and it’s getting people talking. Job done!
