🖥️ A huge thanks to Samantha Denham, Jonathan Selby and Tier 1 for thier recent social value donation of refurbished and repurposed monitors, that have been made available to our Wigan Digital Communities Partnership! 🤝 The Digital Communities Partnership brings together a variety of local community organisations, business’, charities and professionals to discuss ways of promoting Digital Inclusion within our community, aiding in the battle to bridge the digital divide. 🌉 Most recently, a brilliant opportunity arose when Sam and Tier1 got in touch about a number of refurbished computer monitors which needed a good home. They too shared a desire to bridge the digital divide and wanted to use them for social value good. 🙏 This lead to a donation of a total of 35+ computer monitors to some of our Digital Communities Partnership members – including Rebuild with Hope Foundation, Higher Folds Community Centre and Nursery, Nigerian Community Wigan Borough and Wigan & Leigh Pensioners Link – which in turn allowed them to get this equipment to people who would benefit. 🗣️ Some fantastic outcomes have already surfaced since the gifting took place. Rita who received a monitor from the Nigerian Community CIC said: “I’m so excited for having this monitor. I’m setting it up for my children to help their studies. I am really grateful for this. Thank you” 🗨️ Another recipient, Ruth, said: “I am elated to receive such a meaningful and heart-touching gift. This will greatly contribute to the successful completion of my studies. As a beneficiary of this beautiful act, I realize that a little help occasionally makes all the difference in life, and I am ready to do the same when I am advantageous. From my deepest heart, I am saying a big thank you.” 💥 This is just one example of how banding together, in this case through our Digital Communities Partnership, can make all the difference in changing lives and defeating digital exclusion at it heart. Thank you to ADISA for organising a fantastic conference yesterday! The Tier1 team had an extremely productive day connecting with other industry leaders, discussing emerging trends, and catching up with some of our partners. Our Partner Account Director, Bev Benham, also took part in the panel discussion on "Social value from professional ITAD." We had some great conversations afterwards with attendees who were clearly passionate about driving positive change in our industry. We look forward to continuing the conversation to help more organisations achieve their ESG targets through our innovative IT lifecycle solutions. #ADISA2024 #ITAD #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #SocialValue
