What might the next 200 years look like for the National Gallery and our audiences? We are looking to work with an experienced facilitator to help with a long-term audience project. The facilitator will, after a period of consultation with the Gallery, devise, recruit and run an effective assembly of the UK public over a five-year period, acting as the trusted intermediary between the Gallery and the nation. The National Gallery houses the national collection of paintings in the Western European tradition from the 13th to the 19th centuries. It is on show 361 days a year, free of charge. The Gallery's aim is to care for, enhance and study its collection, so as to be able to encourage access to the pictures for the education and enjoyment of the widest possible public now and in the future. It aims for the highest international standards in all its activities.
