Thank You, KH Hair Arnold, for Supporting The Menopause Charity! KH Hair Arnold recently hosted a menopause awareness evening at Mapperley Golf Club, uniting 50 community members for an inspiring night of education and connection. Featuring talks from experts like Dr Alice Duffy (Health in Menopause Clinic), Maxine Sutcliffe (KH Hair Newark), and more, the event explored how to navigate menopause with confidence and care. Attendee Julie Butler says it was comforting to feel that ‘you’re not the only one’. “From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming,” she says. “Dr Alice gave such an insightful talk and gaining a better understanding of the changes in our bodies, hair, skin, and emotions was truly a relief. We now feel empowered to face these challenges with confidence—whether through our own behaviours or by seeking help from our GP when needed. We feel prepared and informed for the years ahead.” Thanks to their efforts, £375 was raised to help us continue our work supporting women during this important life stage. If this event inspires you, why not host your own? Content warning – this post discusses suicide. In September, we shared Lauren’s story and how she was celebrating the life of a “selfless and fun-loving” Mum. We’re grateful to Lauren Appleyard, who recently held a memorable fundraising event in honour of her mum, Sue, who tragically passed away last year. Sue, a dedicated clinical care assistant, worked with the North East Ambulance Service for 22 years. In her memory, Lauren organised a night of live performances and raised £2,814 – doubled by Big Give to £5,628 – to support The Menopause Charity. Lauren’s openness about Sue’s struggles with perimenopause and mental health has already inspired women to seek help, sparking important conversations around menopause symptoms. Jenny Haskey, CEO of The Menopause Charity, says, “We’re so grateful to Lauren, her family, and friends. The funds raised will help us reach more people with trusted support and information.” Thank you, Lauren, for your strength, generosity, and dedication to raising awareness. 💜 🔗 Read more https://lnkd.in/eeqEZvZu #Menopause #MentalHealth #MenopauseAwareness
