YOUNG CHANGEMAKERS: A SPACE TO BE ME_ Today, we celebrate the remarkable journey of the Young Changemakers Programme! Since 2021, this incredible initiative— a collaboration between UK Youth, Centre for Mental Health, and The Diana Award, and funded by players of the People's Postcode Lottery —has been a platform for young Black and Black mixed-race changemakers to address racial inequalities in mental health services. 💭 This illustration captures the hopes and visions these young people have for the future of Black mental health in the UK. Their passion and dedication have been nothing short of inspiring. RECLAIMING MENTAL HEALTH: NOT SO MICRO_ Not So Micro are a team of Young Changemakers who are campaigning for mandatory anti-racism and microaggression training in teacher training. #BHM2024 After experiencing first-hand how microaggressions have a profound and long-lasting impact on young people's mental health, they decided to act. Their work aims to create environments where young people can thrive mentally, free from the emotional toll of microaggressions, and where they can develop resilience and self-worth.
