We are Tempo Time Credits, we are a charity. We provide recognition for the valued work of volunteers.
About us
We are Tempo Time Credits, we are a charity. We value the work of volunteers and provide recognition for their valued contribution while improving communities. We do this through Tempo Time Credits – Volunteers earn Tempo Time Credits when they give their time and use them on a wide range of activities they choose. Tempo enables organisations to use Tempo Time Credits to engage new people and thank volunteers. We work with partners to offer ‘recognition’ activities to people who earn Tempo Time Credits. Tempo Time Credits use can be tailored to address priorities such as mental health, substance misuse or loneliness. • Tempo Time Credits are accepted across the UK at almost 700+ venues • Over 56,000 people have earned a Tempo Time Credit so far • Over 50% of people earning Tempo Time Credits are new to regular volunteering

Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate an exciting milestone for our CEO, Rachel Gegeshidze, who officially marks 12 years with Tempo on December 3rd, 2024! 🎉 Rachel joined us as a Time Credit Facilitator, building Carmarthenshire’s first Time Credit back in 2012. Over the years, she has taken on various roles, driving innovation and development within our organisation. Rachel played a lead role in building the first national Time Credit network in the world and we are proud of the work we are achieving in Wales all thanks to the incredible teamwork and dedication! For the past 2 years, Rachel has been leading our team as Tempo’s CEO, passionately committed to deepening our impact in the communities we serve. Her leadership and vision continue to inspire us. This Welsh Charities Week we would like to introduce you to our team working with communities in Wales... This is Saffron Isaac and she has just joined us to support our place-based work in Neath Port Talbot. Saffron is working alongside communities on our Pathways to the Past project, which involves volunteers and connecting communities in Neath Port Talbot to their heritage. This project is about working with heritage organisations across Neath Port Talbot to increase the number and diversity of their volunteers and to give them a sustainable way to recruit and retain volunteers to ensure that heritage organisations continue to thrive within the borough. Saffron is currently planning many events in Neath Port Talbot and is chatting with anyone working there about how we can work together. She may also share her passion for crochet with you!
