    Starting a recruitment agency is a piece of p*ss We can all admit that starting a business is relatively easy. I myself made an eyelash business, easiest thing ever just get qualified and start. You think of the company name, get registered and so on. But what isn't shown is how much work it is to grow your business and actually become successful. There are sooo many agencies out there at the minute but most places will say they don't even bother using them. Why? Because people have had a bad experience and don't want to turn back. It's understandable, you're paying someone to do a job for you and they're not doing it up to your standards. Absolutely pointless, you might as well just do it yourself mate. To make your agency successful you have to do things right. -BE COST EFFECTIVE Who is going to use you if doing it themselves would be more affordable 😂 -HONESTY AND TRANSPARENCY WITH COMMUNICATION Whilst we all want to tell our clients give them 50 staff they need by tomorrow, honesty is the best policy. Communicate with them so they can plan ahead, we are all human not every task can be ticked off. -BUILD A RELATIONSHIP Make sure your open to your clients feedback, whether its positive or negative it helps you to better understand their needs. By being open they will see your shortfalls as human and will allow you to prove yourself in other situations. However, if you don't like sushi or the colour pink then we cannot staff you.     Reflecting is key to growth✨ At the start of the year, I had: -No job 💔 -Two incomplete assignments 📉 -An empty fridge 😡 -Loneliness from freshly moving out 😥 -No familiar people around me 🚶♀️ -Constant stress from procrastination 😖 Now I have: -A stable job 💗 -A busy, defined schedule 🕙 -Finished assignments and exams 📈 -My own business 👀 -Friends from home moving into my halls 👯♀️ -A belly full of food 24/7 🐷 -A healthy relationship 👩❤️👨 If I said I did this all by myself, I’d be lying. And if I said it was my company that helped me, you might think I'm exaggerating, right? Fortunately, my company played a huge role in this change. In our day-to-day conversations, they helped me recognise my strengths and areas for improvement. They motivated me to keep revising for my exams, allowed me days off when I had a last-minute assignment, and even discussed my lash prices with me because they believe my work is worth more. Also supporting me to understand my emotions better, which has improved my relationships and communication with others. Reflecting on my previous job (where I worked in a warehouse), they didn't even know my name, let alone engage in a normal conversation with me. Another time I was working in McDonalds where i felt they would punish me by putting me on stations I had never worked on before just to see me struggle. Crazy right? I used to think it was normal to feel like that while working. Thanks to the Synergy group, I have a clear vision of how next year is going to unfold. This ensure they're a reliable and consistent supplier as well as maintaining your own standards -Identify potential risks through risk assessments. Detecting a problem before it appears allows for proactive measures to mitigate risks -Strengthen the relationship with your supplier. This ensure that suppliers are committed to delivering goods on time and they're more likely to prioritise your orders and communicate about potential issues. -Identify areas for diversification. Having multiple suppliers will reduce the risk of having no supply because if one fails at least you have another, diversifying suppliers across different regions can also protect your supply chain from geopolitical risks. It also allows for you to compare prices and negotiate better deals.

  • Midweek hump 😖 We all know that once Wednesday hits, everything feels slow, longer, and the motivation to finish the week just isn’t there(especially with added rain👎). But remember, it's okay because Friday is just around the corner! This feeling is similar to slow warehousing periods. Everything feels long and slow because it’s not so busy. It can be easy to go along with the slump and be lazy since there isn’t much need to rush. You can be lazy on the slow days OR use the slow days/periods as on opportunity to work harder and smarter. Here's some ways to use your time wisely even when you're not busy. -Organise and clean: Boost safety and efficiency. -Checks on inventory: Ensure stock levels are accurate. -Take advantage of slow periods for skill development. -Maintenance checks: Conduct checks on equipment for smoother operations. Here's some ways to stay motivated during slow periods. -Celebrate small wins(even if its an inventory check). -Stay positive and energised. -Stay active. -Set mini goals. -Encourage employees.
