This is a hard-earned win by our fantastic Advocate Gabby Gregory! In this case, the LA agreed to name a specialist Language Unit, but then provided a ‘without prejudice’ caveat that ONLY if parents would provide transportation - however, this child absolutely met the criteria for transportation to this provision! With Gabby's tenacity and support, we're very pleased to say that the LA conceded halfway through proceedings and this young person now has a way to get to their new school! Their happiness, regulation and engagement levels rocketed thanks to the empathy and listening ears of the staff!
