Super pleased Standing Tall has been shortlisted for the #SocialValueAwards2024 with Social Value Portal. We've been shortlisted for the 'SME and VCSE Leadership Award' and looking forward to attending the #SocialValueAwards on 17th October in #Birmingham. We're ending homelessness one person at a time. But we're only able to do this across our 6 cities through our partnerships with responsible businesses providing stable jobs for the talented people we're helping. Responsible businesses like Network Rail, Amey, M. Lambe Construction Limited, Taziker and UPP are showing what the private sector can practically do to help end homelessness. That's why we're backing Standing Tall's Christmas campaign. They're asking you to donate one hour of your pay to help 100 people get off the streets and back into work in 2025. We know their approach works because they've helped us hire nine talented people who've contributed to our business in ways we could never have imagined. People like Steve, who went from sleeping rough after his divorce to becoming a valued teammate and mentor for others who've been in his position. 🎄 Last night, I had the pleasure of attending The Choir with No Name’s Christmas celebration at St. Martin in the Bullring with Christy Acton. And what a truly special night it was! Their performances were joyful, fun, and uplifting - a much-needed reminder of the power of music to bring light and hope, even amidst life's challenges. What struck me most was the deep sense of community, built on inclusivity, support, and friendship, among people affected by homelessness or navigating tough times. It’s so much more than a choir - it's a family. Thank you, The Choir with No Name, for a truly wonderful evening that was as heartwarming as it was inspiring. You are a true gift to Birmingham! 💛

I have watched Standing Tall and Christy Acton journey to advocate for and support people experiencing homelessness. They are doing truly impactful work. They are on a mission this Christmas to raise enough money to help 100 people into work next year to move off the streets for good.
