We like to keep up-to-date with important issues like cyber security. It's extremely important for us as a business and for our clients. We had some Cyber Security training yesterday, which was run by Suffolk Police and it was fascinating (and a little scary to be honest)! It's so easy for people to scam us in this digital and AI age. We all learnt a lot and came away with some actions. Below are some key points that we all need to think about both with our work and personally. How many of these are you familiar with? - Do not overshare on socials (people can gain so much information about you from your social media) - Sharing photos of your children on socials. Think twice! We were shown a very hard-hitting video of what can happen. - Passwords. Make them as obscure as possible. Do not repeat passwords. And update them! - Treat unfamiliar emails with fantastic offers, attachments and asking for personal details with caution. - Use 2 factor authentication when offered on your digital assets. - When on socials and you want to know what your unicorn name is - don't! They are capturing your D.O.B and name. - If possible download software protection for your devices (including your phone). It was a very interesting course, and as part of the learning process we did an escape room activity which was great fun but we also learnt a lot from it. We were so engrossed in the escape activity that we forgot to stop to take any photos! 👋 We thought it was about time that we introduced you to our new member of the team - Jen. 👋 Jen has joined us here at Spi-des-ign to manage social media for our clients. She’s originally from Cheshire, but has had a career in graphic design, brand management, and marketing for many years in London. A few years ago, Jen and her family decided to seek a more relaxed lifestyle and moved to the Suffolk countryside. Jen loves all aspects of design, including interior design and also runs an online homewares shop when she’s not at Spi-des-ign. She’s another busy mum juggling many things as many of our clients can relate to. 🤹 Often social media can become an extra task for you to manage or try to fit into your busy day.
