A Magical Narnia: A Student-Led Theatrical Triumph The Southampton College's theatre was transformed into a captivating Narnia, thanks to the incredible work of students from Southampton College and Fareham College. This immersive theatre experience transported audiences into a world of magic and wonder. The set design, meticulously crafted by Southampton College's Production Arts students, was truly breath-taking. Every detail, from the lights, sound to the magical set, was brought to life with stunning realism. The Media Make-up students from Southampton College also deserve immense praise for their flawless character makeup, transforming the actors into believable Narnia inhabitants. The performances by Fareham College's Performing Arts students were nothing short of extraordinary. Their talent and dedication shone through in every scene, captivating the audience and drawing them deeper into the story. This collaborative project is a testament to the power of teamwork and the dedication of these young, talented individuals. #CreatingBetterFutures #ImmersiveThearte #TheatreShow #ProductionArts #PerformingArts #Media #Makeup

A huge well done to our Event Management department at Eastleigh College! They ran a wonderful event for the local community and made a difference to others by fundraising for the Piam Brown Ward. 👏
The totals are in! Last week's Christmas Fair, run by our Event Management students, raised an INCREDIBLE £2273.46 for charity. This amazing amount will be donated to the Piam Brown Ward, who care for children aged 0-16 with cancer, to support both patients and staff. A huge well done to the Event Management students and thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event! Southampton Hospitals Charity #FundraisingEvent #ChristmasFair #CreatingBetterFutures

Today is the final day of #TLevelsWeek 2024, so let’s look back at some of the highlights from across our College Group... 🚑 On Monday, current students enjoyed a visit from T Level Health alumni at Fareham College. We’re proud to see students passionate about so many varied #Healthcare careers. 💻 We heard from Digital T Level students at Southampton College, who had a wide range of motivations for choosing their course. Watch the video here: https://lnkd.in/ey3pX9Xj? ⚙ CEMAST students Zak and Declan shared their experiences with their Engineering T Levels and their dreams for the future - which include robotics and Formula One. Watch here: https://lnkd.in/ebNizXAh 👷♂️ We celebrated CETC student Finn, who was recently offered a degree apprenticeship with his work placement employer! South Hampshire College Group reposted this
For #TLevelsWeek, we want to share a spotlight on two of our passionate T Level Health students, Lacey Paige and Otekpen. We recently asked them both what they want to do after college - read their answers below. Lacey Paige plans to join the army as a Medical Support Officer. 💬 She said: “I’ve always wanted to go into the army; it brings me a great sense of pride to serve my country.” 💬 “My course is amazing. I love doing the practical work, research studies and using the mock healthcare ward to practice for my future career.” On the other hand, Otekpen is interested in Diagnostic Radiography and hopes to join a degree apprenticeship. 💬 She said: “I want a career where I can help people, and T Level will help me get there.” 💬 "I prefer gaining practical experience alongside studying, so the 20% work placement is really beneficial to me.” 💬 “It will also prepare me for a degree apprenticeship, so I can continue to learn and work at the same time.” Both inspiring goals - we're so proud to see how T Levels are helping them build a future they’re passionate about. 💙 Find out more about our T Levels here: https://lnkd.in/en9s-qn7 #TLevels T Levels #CreatingBetterFutures
