Thank you to everyone that applied for our Clothing Library Project Manager role recently - the Board are finalising the invite to interview list with our superb HR consultant, Zoe Cormack, for interviews in the New Year. We really appreciate everyone who took the time to apply, and wish those who were unsuccessful all the best in their onward journey.

Another Sunday with the hub active, rounding out the packs for our Winter Warmer applications. So far, we have created over 400 packs for people across Perth & Kinross and all our deliveries are fulfilled to date with the number of collections available in our Hub streets ahead of where we were last year. Thanks to the generosity of anonymous donors, fundraisers, and charitable schemes (powering the people power of our Delivery Officer and volunteers) we are managing to fulfil orders for wards where we received no council funding. Through the generosity of Perth & Kinross residents and business owners, we are ensuring kids are getting to school warm and dry, alleviating some pressure on household budgets and reducing clothing waste. Positive outcomes for people, planet and our future. If you are interested in joining our board of trustees, ping us a DM or email to setup a discussion. #circulareconomy #scotland #charity #clothing4all

Thank you to everyone that has taken time to apply for our exciting, National Lottery funded Clothing Library Project Manager role. Applications are now closed, and we'll start reviewing applications straight away with interviews for successful applicants in the new year (w/c 13th January 2025) Cannot believe that's another busy year nearly over... still got a few weeks to get some more Winter Warmer packs out though!

Come by our High Street hub to kit your wee one out for guising and help others keep warm. Win win! Next opportunity is 27th October 🎃

Our Winter Warmer applications are now open, providing winter clothing to children in Perth and Kinross - but with a sad caveat. Please watch the accompanying video from founder and trustee, Rachael that explains the impact of the reduced funding from Perth & Kinross Council If you are in a position to donate and help fund our scheme, then please get in touch - you can remain anonymous or be praised to the rafters! For anyone that wants to access the service, they can do so here: https://lnkd.in/evEAUd8e - we had 102 applications in the first hour of the scheme being available, showing that there is a chronic need as families try to balance squeezed budgets. #charity #scotland #circulareconomy

Powered by caffeine, we are at the Home Energy Scotland event in Perth Civic Hall (the council chambers... not the city hall... though it is a nice morning for a walk!) Come and have a chat. If you are an organisation that deals with people in crisis who need access to clothing or are interested in helping us bolster the #circulareconomy in Perth and Kinross, let's talk. Want to volunteer? Come and let us know! We are always looking for people to help sort donations, wash, repair or deliver. #charity #scotland #clothing4all

Social Flock (Perth) reposted this
A circular economy is part of the solution to the climate emergency and one of the ways we can reach net zero by 2045. Its goal is for everything to have value and nothing to be wasted. The current ‘linear’ system where products are made, used and disposed of no longer works for businesses, people or our environment. Making sure things are repaired and re-used is crucial to help Scotland reduce emissions and protect our natural environment. Still a few boxes of outfits to unpack and find a new home yet as well - unless the organisation machines Shonagh and Rachel got it finished :D
I love my Sundays, helping out at Social Flock (Perth) Today, the quest to move from School Uniform to Winter Warmer packs continued, with the added bonus of unpacking the Halloween outfits. Any family in Perth and Kinross can get themselves an outfit for their wee one with a donation of some cozy socks to help kids who'll need them this winter. #charity #circulareconomy #reuserecycle #scotland
