Santa spotted in the brass section at #BigNoiseRaploch's festive concert last week 🎅 🎺 🎶

Over summer this year, young musicians from #BigNoiseGovanhill had the enormous pleasure of teaming up with award-winning photographer, Simon Murphy, to capture the streets of Govanhill in a National Galleries of Scotland outreach photography project 📸 As well as running workshops and accompanying participants on a photography excursion around Govanhill, Simon also captured these stunning portraits of our young musicians in his signature black and white style. Tis the season for concert trips and Santa hats 🎅 🎶 #BigNoiseGovanhill's C Orchestra had a wonderfully festive time yesterday seeing 'A Christmas Carol' by Children's Classic Concerts at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall!

It's been a busy couple of weeks at #BigNoise with participants from our programmes in Douglas, Wester Hailes, and Govanhill performing on some of Scotland's biggest stages alongside members of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) in Dundee, Edinburgh, and Glasgow 🎶 It's always an incredible moment and a great confidence boost for our budding young musicians to have the opportunity to display their hard work and play side-by-side with the national orchestra in front of friends, family, and concert-goers in world class venues 🙌 Huge thanks again to our friends at RSNO 👏 📸 Check out these images from pre-concert rehearsals. 🔗 Read all about the concerts on our website here https://lnkd.in/eB9M5iap
