As Homelessness Awareness Week comes to a close, the reality of the homelessness crisis in Northern Ireland is clear with the soaring demand for our services. Simon Community Chief Executive, Jim Dennison comments "These figures are a sobering reminder of the deepening homelessness crisis in Northern Ireland. Every call represents a person in desperate need - someone facing unimaginable challenges as they try to find somewhere to stay. Homelessness is not just a statistic; it’s people - mothers, fathers, children, and individuals - who deserve a home of their own. We need immediate action and support, or more individuals and families will be left with nowhere to turn as temperatures drop and Christmas approaches. The time to act is now." If you or someone you know needs help, call our 24/7 helpline on 0800 171 2222 or visit simoncommunity.org
