𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐟𝐢𝐚 𝐱 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐥 🎠 🎉 Wow, what an amazing night at The Yorkshire Mafia x Silicon Yorkshire networking event yesterday! First off, a huge THANK YOU to Gareth Huxall & Geoff Shepherd for putting together such a fantastic evening. The energy, the people, the activities—it was all on another level🔥 I had an absolute blast! 🏒 Air hockey battles with Tas Hadjisavva (I’m still claiming victory, Tas!) 🕺 An intense (and hilarious) dance-off with Damien Murphy - let’s call it a draw, shall we? 🏀 Shooting hoops with Kashif Javaid (future basketball star?!) 🏎️ High-speed racing with Ivan Zhuk (he’s definitely got a lead foot!) And let’s talk about the incredible conversations I had with so many inspiring people. It was a privilege meeting each of you; Lily Deal, Benjamin Lee, Devanshu Kumar, Stefan Haase, David Safapour, Jonny McPartland CertRP, Matt Pallister Dip BIoR Cert PRP & everyone else - your insights and stories were a highlight of my night. I loved Introducing you all to the concept of BOOM BATTLE BAR!🐙🪩 & learning about the design secrets of Victoria Leeds straight from the man himself - Steven Halmshaw was a real treat ⭐️ Of course, it was lovely to see some familiar faces too like Karen Buckland, Phil Marsland, Graham Lydiatt, Jared Henderson - you guys always bring the good vibes! A special shoutout to St. Gemma's Hospice for the raffle. We raised some great money for such a worthy cause 💜💚 Amazing to see so many people come together to support. Loved catching up with Stewart Graham too! 🙌 And just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, 𝐒𝐈𝐌𝐎𝐍 𝐖𝐄𝐁𝐁𝐄 appeared. Yes, the man from 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 himself & founder of Blueprint Music! A noughties era legend and the perfect surprise addition to the evening. 💙🎤🎶 Honestly, events like this remind me of why I love connecting with brilliant people, sharing ideas, and just having a great time. On the way home, we even bumped into Eshaan Kapoor, and we decided to keep the night going at Tabula Rasa Bar for some drinks🥂 an epic end to the night! #networking #yorkshiremafia #siliconyorkshire #leedsevents #community

What an incredible evening! Thank you to everyone who came out to Silicon Yorkshire’s tech social at Carousel Leeds last night. From start to finish, the energy was high, the conversations were inspiring, and the connections were unforgettable. 🎉 With over 300 tech professionals under one roof, it was a fantastic mix of networking, collaboration, and pure fun. A huge shoutout to Carousel Leeds for being the perfect venue and to everyone who helped make this night a success. Well that was quite the event! Who would have thought a networking event in a bar that felt like a fairground? 🎡🎪🎠 The Silicon Yorkshire crew certainly went all out hosting an event at The Carousel bar in Leeds, it had so much personality—down to the toilets featuring a disco button playing 80s hits with flashing lights (though sadly, not in the gents). 🎡🎪🎪🎪 The night was capped off with a performance by Simon Webbe of Blue, who was as down-to-earth as he was talented.
