Goodbye NDRC. Hello new NDRC! 🚀 The Irish startup ecosystem is full of potential, but let’s face it—it’s complicated. Fragmented networks, endless grants, and disconnected programs often leave founders asking: Where do I start? 😟 Enter Shareit biz Founded by the dynamic duo Grainne Bannon and Derek Bannon this independent platform is here to make life easier for founders. 🌟 Over the past two years, they’ve been helping businesses navigate the maze of funding, mentorship, and opportunities—all while building their own innovative solution. With Gráinne’s finance expertise 💼 and Derek’s marketing know-how 📣, they’ve developed a platform that does the heavy lifting for entrepreneurs. Whether it’s finding the perfect grant, connecting with mentors, or accessing critical resources, ShareitBiz ensures no one gets left behind. ✨ But it doesn’t stop there. Their platform is: ✅ Founder-first: Tailored solutions for every stage of the journey. ✅ Inclusive: A level playing field for all, no matter your background. ✅ Efficient: Simplifying a fragmented ecosystem so you can focus on growth. Gráinne and Derek’s journey showcases what it means to innovate while giving back. Their resilience and drive inspire us all to imagine what’s possible when founders get the support they deserve. 💪 The new NDRC could take this spirit to the next level, unifying Ireland’s startup ecosystem into a seamless, founder-centric experience. Imagine a landscape where collaboration trumps competition, and every founder’s vision gets the chance to shine. 🌍✨ Let’s champion the founders who build our future. Let’s transform the way we innovate. #SupportFounders #StartupIreland #InnovationForAll

Goodbye NDRC. Hello new NDRC! A one-stop shop for the founders. Let's collaborate not compete! Ireland's start-up ecosystem is strong but fractured. Our mindset needs to change. Too many startup organisations and accelerators prioritising their own agenda. Challenges Fragmentation: Multiple organisations and accelerators, each with their own agenda, create a fragmented landscape. This leads to duplication of efforts, inefficiencies and a lack of cohesive support for founders. Navigational Complexity: Founders often find it confusing to navigate the complex startup ecosystem. Questions like "Where do I look for funds?" "Where do I get support?" "Where do I get advice?" and "Where do I network?" are common. The lack of a clear, unified roadmap makes it difficult for founders to find the resources they need. Falling Through the Cracks: Due to the fragmented nature of the ecosystem, many founders fall through the cracks. They might miss out on crucial support or funding opportunities simply because they are unaware of where to look or whom to approach. Potential Solutions Unified Effort: There needs to be a concerted effort to unify the various organisations and accelerators. A round table of influencers from Scale Ireland, Dogpatch Labs, Enterprise Ireland, Furthr, Going for Growth, New Frontiers, AwakenHub , LEO, TechFoundHer, RDI Hub, InterTradeIreland, Small Firms Association, PorterShed, Tangent @ Portal, NovaUCD, IGNITE UCC, Republic of Work, Skillnet Ireland, AxisBIC, Web Summit, ISME Ireland , Ormeau Labs etc could focus on the founder's needs and their journey. This collaboration could streamline support and create a cohesive user-friendly founder experience. Founder-Centric roadmap: Shifting the focus to the founder's journey is crucial. This means understanding the sequence of steps a founder needs to take to bring an idea to the global marketplace and providing tailored support at each stage. Simplified Navigation: Creating a centralised platform/resource hub where founders can easily find information on funding, support and networking opportunities would be beneficial. This platform could provide simple, straightforward answers to common questions and guide founders through the complex ecosystem. Mentorship and Networking: Strengthening mentorship programs and networking opportunities can help founders connect with experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts. This can provide valuable guidance and open doors to new opportunities. Changing the Mindset Collaboration Over Competition: Through collaboration, we can act as One voice One message so the whole world can hear us. Long-Term Vision: Focusing on the long-term success of founders rather than short-term gains for organisations can help create a more sustainable and thriving start-up ecosystem. Let the NDRC government contract become an all-inclusive one-stop shop solely for founders to meet and greet the startup ecosystem under one roof? Please repost. Thank you.

Some people walk into your life and are nothing short of inspirational. It is these special people that change the world for the better. Lori Gatsi -Barnett #founder of the JoinHer Network ®️ is that special person who came into my life last year after I read her compelling article in the Belfast Telegraph titled 'Looking at business through the language of #diversity, #inclusion and #equity. The article struck a chord with me both personally and professionally so I reached out and meet up with Lori. Fairness is a personal core value and professionally, #Diversity #Equity & #inclusion are #values that guide our mission at Shareit biz, to serve all business communities, ensuring equal opportunities and access to business support regardless of culture, race, or gender. Then when Lori Gatsi -Barnett invited me to speak at the #DiversityEquityInclusion #CreativeLeadership Conference I was both humbled and honoured to stand alongside #thoughtleaders 🌟 Stella Ngozi Mbubaegbu CBE : Director of Black Leadership Group UK 🌟 Dr Nadia Habashi : Director of the Policing, Innovation Enterprise and Learning Centre (PIEL) at UEL 🌟 Sylvia Sitati Ogonda MBACP (Accred) : Mental Health Practitioner 🌟 Professor Richard Drayton, King's College London, Professor of Imperial and Global History who are making significant strides in fostering #inclusive and #equitable approaches. As I shared in my speech that day, Sharon Kaur Jandu OBE, Director of the NPH Ethnic Minority Business and Policy Forum, highlighted that the contribution of ethnic minority businesses to the #UK #economy could increase four-fold from £25 billion to £100 billion by implementing the recommended changes. This represents a huge offering to the economy, but to support these businesses, we need to understand and address the areas where they need assistance. Thus, it is important to us that we create a solution ensuring that all individuals, irrespective of their past, who they are, and where they come from, have the opportunity to realise their fullest potential. So if you are involved in a community aligned with our vision please reach out to me directly. I am eager to learn from #ethnic #business #communities to ensure our platform best serves their needs. #followus at Shareit biz Migrant Help Ethnic Minority Employment & Entrepreneurship Network : EMEEN - NI UK Economy Department for the Economy NI Inclusive NI Limited Inclusive Entrepreneurship NI Queen's University Belfast Ulster University Business SchoolMid Ulster District Council Ulster University Alumni and SupportersBritish Business Bank Northern IrelandInvest Northern Ireland – Americas InterTradeIreland Enterprise Ireland University of East London King's College London NPH Ethnic Minority Business and Policy Forum Dena Habashi-Ayub ChPP MAPM Joy-Tendai Kangere
