“The Permanent Portfolio isn't designed to make you rich; it's designed to keep you from being poor.” ~ Harry Browne, American Libertarian and Finance Author. In our latest Monthly Review, we reflect on the “Year of the Election”, as voters across the world cast their ballots, introducing new governments, prime ministers, and presidents. Despite new ideas and new promises, many things won’t change; and with this in mind, we introduce our Permanent Portfolio strategy. It emphasises the importance of maintaining a well-prepared, flexible, and diversified portfolio. Such an approach is more critical than ever as we navigate the risks we face in 2025 while also seizing the opportunities that lie ahead. As usual, we include our brief on #assetclass and #assetallocation comments. Read the full article below 👇🏼

In our latest podcast 🎙 we explore the global decline in #FertilityRates and the #AgingPopulation, delving into their profound implications for #EconomicGrowth, #Inflation, expected returns, and #AssetAllocation. The Global Total Fertility Rate (TFR) has dropped significantly 📉 over the past 70 years—from approximately five children per woman in 1950 to just 2.2 in 2021. Alarmingly, more than half of all countries and territories (110 out of 204) now fall below the population replacement level of 2.1 births per woman (source: healthdata.org). We therefore discuss the implications of the declining TFR on global economies and societies, and highlight the investment opportunities we foresee would be worth looking into. Listen in on the conversation below 👇🏼
