Following my short post recently on ISO 42001 for AI, I had a number of conversations with people in companies where AI is being built into their products, or where adoption of AI tools/platforms is happening at a pretty rapid rate. Whilst the discussions have leant towards addressing security issues, there is clearly a whole range of concerns around how to take advantage of these technologies without introducing risk. So for the uninitiated I'm going to run a webinar: Controlling AI Risk with ISO/IEC 42001 November 22nd 2024 14:15 - 15:00 GMT Agenda • Introduction to ISO/IEC 42001: Purpose and Benefits • Understanding the Framework • Alignment with the EU AI Act • Addressing Prohibitions and High-Risk Categories • Benefits for AI Providers and Users • The ISO/IEC 42001 Certification Process • Recommended Next Steps • Q&A Register: https://lnkd.in/gNHCpHYz The session is intended as a primer so if you're thinking about a more structured approach to AI in your company, please join me and you should get a good sense of the steps you can take. Also please share with anyone you think would find the session useful. Thanks

  • Having picked up another client in the Legal sector last week, thought this seemed like good timing (updated from the 2018 report). 'The volume of sensitive information and the sums of money firms often handle can make them particularly attractive targets to attackers.' Some interesting case studies from Simplify Group and Tuckers Solicitors LLP. Managed detect and respond services can go a long way to providing a deterrent against these kinds of attacks - dm me if you'd like to know more about preventing being in the next edition!

  • In the UK, Cyber Essentials is often the starting point for organisations looking to more effectively assess and manage their cyber security. For many smaller businesses though, there's often work to do before they even reach the point where CE makes sense. That's why the NCSC has created a guide to help you get started on the journey. It's called the Small Business Guide and it's available here: https://lnkd.in/dEzwJhE Whilst we think this is really great content for any small business owner, our only issue is that it's good for the 'what', but a little light on detail as to the 'how'. So we've taken the concept and expanded it to include some practical steps on getting the basics in place. We're calling it 5 Steps to Cyber Security. It's available here: https://lnkd.in/e_dH9xxi Check it out, it's still in it's infancy so we'd welcome any feedback on how we can improve it. P.S. feel free to pass onto anyone you think it could benefit.
